Chapter 45 - Chapter45. Could you bring me some water, little classmate?

"Little classmate, are you not attending PE class?"

Ellie looked up at him and said, "Yes, I've asked for leave."

"Could you bring a bottle of water, little classmate?" William leaned over and said.

From his perspective, he could clearly see Ellie's profile; her skin was very fair, with fine down on her face, long eyelashes, small mouth, and thin enough for him to lift with one hand.

William stared at her curled eyelashes for a moment.

Tsk.

Little prude has quite long eyelashes.

"Sure."

William placed his meal card on her desk and said, "Bring a bottle of water, and feel free to buy anything else you want with this."

Ellie stared at the card for a moment, then pocketed it, and whispered, "I'll buy the supermarket."

"What?"

Ellie met his inquisitive gaze and said, "Nothing, you misheard."

William stared at her for a moment, then said, "That's not honest, little classmate. I can't buy the supermarket, but I can afford to let you buy something else at the supermarket."

Ellie stared at his teasing expression and said, "Didn't you hear it? Why ask me again if you heard it."

William smiled and said, "I just wanted to hear you say it again."

Ellie didn't say anything more.

Aria ran over from the front to find Ellie and said, "Ellie, class is about to start, shall we go down together?"

Ellie responded, "Sure."

The school path is lined with sycamores and ginkgoes, which have already begun to shed leaves.

Early autumn has arrived, but there is no sign of the temperature dropping; the sun is scorching, and the floor is hot.

Aria held Ellie's hand and said, "Ellie, you did too well on this exam. If I got these grades, my mom would probably be excited and unable to sleep all night."

Ellie smiled at her.

"Ellie, can I come to you for help with questions in the future?"

Ellie said, "Of course, you can."

"Ahhh, Ellie, you're really my treasure," Aria excitedly hugged Ellie, noticing William and Daniel passing by.

Daniel casually said, "Ellie, Aria."

Ellie smiled at him.

The young man was holding a ball, with a somewhat cold expression, looking not very approachable. He glanced at Ellie, who was hugged by someone, and said to her, "Little classmate, don't forget my water."

Ellie responded, "Got it."

The young man, with his long arms and legs, soon left Ellie and Aria behind.

Daniel belatedly realized and said, "Water? Bring water? Did William ask Ellie to bring water for you?"

William "Hmm"ed,

Daniel became more certain of Ellie's uniqueness. William wouldn't even glance at the water brought by other girls, yet he actively asked Ellie to bring water. It was indeed different.

Aria watched the group leave and said to Ellie, "Did he ask you to buy him water?"

Ellie took out his card from her pocket and said, "Yes, I'm not attending PE class, so I'm helping him bring a bottle of water."

Aria smiled and said, "Hahaha, as expected, even a guy like William can't refuse a sweet girl."

"Sweet girl?" Ellie realized the term was referring to her, looking a bit confused.

Aria held her face and said, "Oh my, Ellie, you really are a sweet girl, okay? Your dazed expression, gosh, even as a girl, I think you're so sweet."

Ellie's mind was still processing the previous sentence, and with her face being held, her almond eyes showed some confusion.

Sarah wore the school uniform jacket today, a rare occurrence, but still no uniform pants. Her hair was tied into a high ponytail, the top button of the uniform was undone, and she wore somewhat exaggerated earrings. Today's makeup was not heavy, but she was still bright and flamboyant.

She walked over with a piece of candy in her mouth, glanced at Ellie, took a lollipop from her pocket, and said, "Want it? It's the change I got, if you don't eat it, I'll give it to someone else."

One might think she was offering some poison.

Ellie took the candy from her hand and said, "Thank you."

Sarah looked at her well-behaved appearance.

A feeling suddenly arose in her heart.

Damn it, she thought the good student was kind of cute.

Sarah, in order to maintain her persona, still looked coolly at her and said, "I heard you ranked third in the school last time?"

Ellie nodded seriously at her and said, "Yes."

"Not bad, I'm leaving." Sarah had walked halfway when she turned back and said to Ellie, "By the way, I've returned your clothes."

Ellie smiled at her and said, "I know."

Sarah left with the girls beside her.

Aria, a bit confused, said, "Ellie, when did you get so close with Sarah?"

Ellie said, "We're not."

"Then she just gave you candy."

Ellie stared at the lollipop in her hand for a while and then said, "We're a bit closer now."

Aria said, "Change wouldn't give a lollipop that costs a few bucks."

Ellie looked at the candy in her hand for a while and then smiled.

The class bell rang, and Aria said to Ellie, "Ellie, I'm going to line up first, bye."

"Okay."

Ellie sat in the shade, watching the other side where PE class was happening.

Every PE class started with running three laps.

The few who were running at the back seemed to have fallen behind, shouting for those in front to slow down, they couldn't keep up.

Some squatted down to tie their shoelaces, and it took a whole lap to do so.

Some envied her for not having to attend PE class, but she didn't even have the qualification to engage in vigorous exercise.

Ellie looked up at the leaves rustling in the wind for a while, then took out the card from her pocket, preparing to go to the supermarket to buy water for him first.

Arriving at the supermarket, Ellie was faced with a dilemma in front of the shelves of drinks, many of which were sports drinks.

Ellie hesitated for a while, and in the end, only took a bottle of room-temperature Nongfu Spring.

When it was almost time to pay, she went back and exchanged it for a cold one, and also picked up a bag of candy.

Ellie used his card to pay for the water and paid for her own candy, putting the water in a bag and heading out.

She sat in the shade, took out the candy that Sarah had given her, tore open the wrapper and popped it into her mouth, then stood up and threw the candy wrapper into the trash can.

She didn't know when William would drink water, so she sat there with the bottle of water, waiting patiently.

It seemed that the PE teacher was now teaching some kind of exercise.

William glanced at Ellie sitting in the shade, seeing her with a stick in her mouth, holding a bag, which seemed to be the water she bought for him, while Ellie was looking down at something.

William stared at her for a while, so intently, could she be watching the ants on the ground?

The little prude's hobbies are really interesting.
