In the third period of the afternoon, Ellie found that her deskmate hadn't come back. She just took a look at the empty seat and continued to listen to the class.
William had just finished a group fight, with some bruises on his face, but he didn't lose. He pasted a band-aid on his face, with no expression.
On the way back, he saw a blond guy slapping a thin, small guy in the face, cursing, "Damn it, I told you to get me money, can't you understand human language?"
"I don't have any money."
"Can't you get it from your home if you don't have any? I don't care, you bastard, get me the money tomorrow."
William frowned, grabbed the guy, and punched him in the face.
The blond guy grimaced in pain, about to curse, saw who was in front of him, and stammered, "William, you're here."
"Don't fucking call me brother, I'm not familiar with you." William's voice was hoarse: "Don't let me see you bullying people in school again."
The guy cowered in the corner, knowing that the person in front of him was not to be messed with, and nodded repeatedly: "I understand, I promise, no, I swear, I won't bully others anymore."
William snorted and said in a light voice: "It's better to be like this."
The guy rushed over to hug his leg: "I really won't, brother."
"Don't call me that, apologize to him."
The guy turned to the thin, small boy and said, "I'm wrong, let him let me go."
"I don't forgive."
William kicked him again, helped the boy up, and said, "Go back."
Ellie was taking notes when she saw the guy at the door walking in unsteadily, with band-aids still crookedly pasted on his face, and sat down next to her.
The teacher at the podium seemed used to it and didn't even glance at William, continuing his class. Most of the class was asleep, including her newly returned deskmate, who fell asleep as soon as he laid his head down.
As soon as class was over, everyone in the class rushed out to have dinner.
The new girl Ellie met asked if she wanted to go to the cafeteria together, Ellie waved her hand: "You guys go ahead."
She went to the door, Susan would come to deliver food to her on time. Her diet needed to be very careful, mainly light. The school's food was either too greasy or too salty and spicy, which she couldn't eat. Moreover, after eating, she had to take medicine.
Ellie sat at the door with her lunch box, eating in small bites. Susan handed her a glass of water, and she smiled at Susan and said, "Thank you, Susan."
Susan looked at her lovingly and said, "Ellie, does the food today suit your taste?"
"It's very delicious." Ellie smiled sweetly at Susan.
After finishing eating, Susan handed her the medicine and a thermos, watching her take the medicine.
William, who was passing by, also saw this scene.
"William, what are you looking at?"
William withdrew his gaze and said in a light voice, "None of your business."
Daniel also said, "Haven't you heard? None of your business."
"Daniel, do you believe I'll hit you?" Hao Ming gave him a threatening look.
"Hehe, hit me." Daniel finished speaking, realizing that William beside him was walking very fast. Daniel hurriedly caught up: "William, William, don't walk so fast."
After the evening self-study class, Ellie was reading when she heard someone knocking on the glass. She looked up and saw a thin, small guy outside the window.
Ellie opened the window and said, "May I ask who you are looking for?"
The guy licked his lips, handed the milk to Ellie, and said, "Please help me pass this to William and tell him thank you." He asked some people and immediately found out William's class and name. He told others that William saved him, and others laughed, saying that it's good he didn't hit you, would he help you? Dreaming.
He wanted to say, it's true, William really helped him in the afternoon.
Ellie nodded: "Okay, I will."
William had just come back when Ellie put the milk on his desk and said, "Someone sent it after class just now."
"Throw it in the trash can."
Ellie knew he must have misunderstood something and hurriedly explained: "It's a boy, he asked me to say thank you to you, not a girl."
William picked up the milk in his hand, took a look, and said, "Yeah, I know." It was the boy he helped in the afternoon.
Ellie passed on the message and then continued with her own things. She was holding a pen, staring intently at the problem in the book.
Notes were flying all over the classroom, some talking, some chatting, there was no sense of learning at all. William was playing a mobile game with his head down.
"William, William, play a game?" Daniel turned to William.
Ellie looked up at the two, hearing William say, "No, get lost."
Daniel turned his head, if William wouldn't play with them, then he'd play with Mason.
William looked at Ellie, who was doing her homework, and kicked Daniel's chair, which had been shaking his leg.
Daniel turned around: "William, what can I do for you? Do you want to log in? Let's play a game?"
"If you shake your leg again, get the hell out of here."
"Okay, William." Daniel turned around decisively.
He's so fierce, Ellie thought silently, but the table finally stopped shaking.
Back home in the evening.
"How was the first day of school, Ellie?"
Ellie said, "Everything is good, the teachers are very good, the students in the class are also very good, the new classmates are also good, and the new deskmate... is also very good."
Jennifer said, "That's good, if there's anything unsatisfactory or unhappy, tell your mother, and I'll call your teacher."
Ellie shook her head gently and said, "No need, I'm very well."
Jennifer rubbed her head and said, "Okay, good girl, I won't disturb you anymore. The medicine is on the table, take it and go to bed quickly."
Ellie made a sound, threw the medicine into her mouth, and took a sip of warm water.
Jennifer closed the door for her and said, "Good night, Ellie."
"Good night, Mom."
At night, Ellie couldn't sleep, her stomach was cramping again, her forehead was covered with cold sweat from the pain, and the quilt was wrinkled from being clenched. She shakily took a painkiller from the drawer and took one, and it wasn't until the second half of the night that she finally fell asleep.
Ellie's condition was understood by Mr. Johnson from Jennifer before she came to No. 6 Middle School.
He had seen Ellie's report card, her grades were very good, always in the top ten of No. 7 Middle School in City B. When he first saw Ellie, he found that this girl was really well-behaved. However, such a cute and lovely girl might not live beyond this year.
God, do you want to see what you're doing?
Ellie didn't want others to know about her health condition. When she went to the hospital for treatment, she asked Mr. Johnson to tell other teachers that she went to a tutoring class.
