Chapter 5 - Chapter5. He said don't leave after school

In the third period of the afternoon.

Ellie was reading in the class when she heard someone say that someone was looking for her outside the door.

She walked to the door and saw a strange girl.

She was wearing a crop top, her hair dyed to chestnut and permed just to the collarbone, with several earrings in her ears, and she was wearing very red lipstick, looking very flamboyant.

"Excuse me, do you need something from me?"

The girl looked Ellie up and down. The girl in front of her was very thin and white, wearing a blue and white school uniform very neatly, with a low ponytail and a pair of clear apricot eyes, like a deer in the forest.

She folded her arms and said, "You are William's deskmate? I haven't seen you before."

Ellie's tone was very gentle as she explained, "I am new, just transferred to this school a few days ago, and the teacher asked me to sit next to him."

The girl made an "Oh" sound and threatened, "Stay away from him."

Ellie blinked in confusion and then said, "I understand."

Back at her seat, she was still pondering the words.

Stay away from William?

Did she just get threatened?

Daniel looked at Ellie, who was still writing and drawing on the paper, and couldn't help but ask, "Ellie, what did they say to you just now?"

"I don't know either."

Daniel met her clear eyes and felt that he couldn't say a word of nonsense in front of such a well-behaved girl. No wonder William helped her on the first day.

Ellie is too damn well-behaved.

And she looks good.

"Did they say anything excessive to you?"

Ellie thought for a moment, then shook her head, "She said to stay away from William."

"That girl just now is Sarah, a crazy pursuer of William, but William doesn't like her and has rejected her many times. William doesn't have a girl he likes either." Daniel didn't know what he was explaining, but looking at Ellie staring at him, he inexplicably wanted to explain.

"I understand, thank you."

Aria and the other two also gathered around and asked Ellie if Sarah had troubled her just now.

Ellie shook her head, "She just said to stay away from William, nothing else."

Aria said, "She threatens you like this for no reason, aren't you angry?"

"No, I'm not angry." Ellie didn't think there was anything to be angry about.

Aria looked at her obedient expression and really wanted to star-eye: "Damn, you have too good a temper." She finished and then whispered, "Actually, there are quite a few girls who like William. He looks good, has a good family, but he is a bit fierce, doesn't contact with girls, so some people will spread that he actually doesn't like girls."

Like boys?

Ellie didn't have much time left, she just wanted to be happy and didn't want to spend her mind on unimportant things.

It was almost time for class when William came back on time.

Daniel threw a note on his desk.

William raised his eyebrows: "What's up? Can't you say it directly?"

Daniel made a face and motioned for him to open it and see.

William opened the note and saw Daniel wrote on it: After class, Sarah came to see Ellie.

William frowned, glanced at Ellie, she was reading seriously, so he decided to find her after class.

What did that crazy woman Sarah come to see Ellie for?

He endured his irritation and threw a note to Ellie.

Seeing Ellie press the note under the book, taking advantage of the teacher turning his head, secretly opened it and took a look.

Oh, she is really a good student.

Sneaking a peek at the note is like an elementary school student.

The note said, "Don't leave after school, I need to find you."

The note was thrown back.

William opened it and saw the word "Okay" written on it.

Ellie didn't know what he wanted to see her for, maybe it was about the afternoon, she quickly forgot about it and started to concentrate on the teacher's lecture on the podium.

In the blink of an eye, it was time to leave school.

When everyone in the class had left, Ellie turned to William and said, "What do you need?"

"Did Sarah come to see you today?"

Ellie reacted for a moment, remembering that the girl he mentioned should be the one who came today, and she made a sound.

"What did she say?"

"She said to stay away from you."

"Nothing else?"

"Hmm, nothing else."

William was silent for a long time, looking at the obedient girl in front of him, and finally said, "You don't have to pay attention to her."

Ellie looked at him and said, "I know."

William remembered the bruises on her wrist he saw the other day and subconsciously looked at her wrist.

She wore a jacket today, covering the marks on her wrist.

William still couldn't help asking the thought in his heart: "Are your parents abusive to you?"

Ellie: "?"

Ellie looked up at him in confusion.

Looking at her ignorant expression, William said: "I saw the marks on your arm the other day, and I didn't want to ask."

Ellie rolled up her sleeve to show him, saying: "Are you talking about this?" Her wrist was originally white, and the bruises on her arm looked particularly terrifying, as if she had been beaten.

"It's something I did to myself."

"Do you have a tendency towards self-harm?"

Ellie shook her head and said, "No, it's because I'm not feeling well, I pinched myself."

Watching her answer the questions seriously, William felt that she was particularly well-behaved.

"I'm done answering, can I go now?"

"You may."

Watching Ellie's back as she left, William hooked the corner of his lips.
