Jewel put her coffee down and sighed ' coffee on a hot afternoon ' she chuckled at the thought . After signing the contract, the devil had been lenient enough to let her start work tomorrow. She remembered her stupid question she asked Anthony.
"How long is the contract?"
" For as long as the president doesn't get tired of you" Anthony replied.
" But what if I want to resign?"

Jewel mentally face palmed herself. Yes why would she? This salary was more than enough to turn her life around. Even if she resigns, she was sure she won't get a salary as high as this.
"Sis" Kevin's eardrums reverberated through her eardrums and she jolted a little" y-yes "
"What's wrong?" Kevin's face contorted into worry" I saw your text and immediately school was over, I rushed here "
"Nothing is wrong " she brightened up" I got the job"
He gasped"really?"he squealed in delight and hugged his sister"I'm so happy for you. Finally good things are working together for our good. When eill you start work? How much is the salary? Did you meet the president? how did they interview you? What questions did they ask?" The questions came out in a breath.
"Easy there. One question at a time " she beckoned him to come closer" let me tell you " and she told him everything that happened except the fact she was the CEO contracted secretary and what led her to be one.
"Wow. 5 million dollars for a Start, 10 million salary. Sis you hit the jackpot. Truly you are blessed."
Jewel laughed" I know I am. That's why Kevin you must study hard look at me. I graduated with a degree and I landed a high paying job"
The latter nodded" I will. Let's celebrate. What is this? Celebrating with a cup of coffee? "

Okay. Should we go to a bar?"

She chuckled" I hear a nice little restaurant that just opened. It's got good food and plenty customers and delicious steak "
Kevin's eyes lit up at the mention of steak"I love steak. Let's go" he stood up with excitement.
Jewel stood up too"let me pay for my coffee " Kevin nodded and went outside while jewel went to pay for her coffee.
Soon, they were strolling down to the restaurant. They arrived, entered and sat down.
"Hi" a waitress came to them
"Hello " jewel smiled.
"What would you like to order?"
"Uh... I would like a salmon en papillote with cornbread and roasted turkey oh and barbecue steak."
The waitress chuckled" that's a lot to order"
" Very famished. Besides the lunch's for two"
"Okay
What of drinks?"
"Apple juice for him and iced coffee for me "
" Alrighty. Comin right up " the waitress turned and left.
" But I wanted sundae " Kevin pouted.
" Dessert later. You know that Kevin."
"Fine"
Their food was brought and in the blink of an eye, their plates were swept clean.
"Desserts now?" Kevin asked with eager eyes.
You and sweets." Jewel chuckled. She called the waitress"I'll have a sundae and frozen yogurt on the go."
The waitress nodded and left. jewel turned to him"we'll eat on the way ok?"
Kevin nodded and grinned"it's freaking hot anyway." Jewel rolled her eyes.
They arrived home later.
"Ah I'm full and I'm going straight to bed .I'll take a nap."
Kevin nodded" you should rest sis I'll go do my afternoon study "
" Alright. Study hard " she ruffled the boy's hair and went to her room.
