" Good morning sir" jewel greeted ian
"Miss Langford pleasure to see you . You are quite early"ian gave a witty smile.
"I am sir"
" Well since you're early, come with me we're going somewhere"
" Aren't we suppose to prepare for today's meeting?"
" Meeting is by 10. This is 8 we're two hours behind "
"Ah.... Okay then "
Ian started walking outside" hurry up " he called over his shoulder.
Jewel ran to walk beside him. They got his car and Ian opened to get in but jewel just stood.
" What?"Ian asked" never ridden a BMW before?"
Jewel shook her head" I'm afraid it's way out of my league sir "
Ian raised a brow" so? Well today you're riding in it and as your boss, I'm telling you to get in the car. The driver isn't in today don't have patience "
Jewel exhaled and quickly entered the car"Thank you sir "
Ian chuckled" for what? Letting you in an expensive car?" He started the engine.
Jewel nodded and Ian chuckled again"cute "
"Huh?" Jewel looked at him " your smile is beautiful sir"
"Really?" How funny. You only make me this way" he glanced at her
Jewel blushed "that's not true sir"
Ian stopped and looked over jewel , she shrank in her seat " you'll not understand me now but soon enough. It's only a matter of time" he straightened up and gave her a quick glance ' I helped you with your seatbelt, so forgetful " he started driving again.
Jewel blushed so hard her cheeks were red. She could feel her beating heart, his cologne lingered in her nostrils. She bit her lips and briefly closed her eyes.
' what does he think he's doing? We're boss and employee '
She's his secretary and he's the boss
'God' she opened her eyes and found him looking, she turned away from him the blush still evident on her face. Ian let out a light chuckle.
They stopped at a hospital and entered the eye section.
Jewel gave a suprised look " s-sir...."
Ian cut her off "I take care of my employees. One of the advantages of working with the Wyatt enterprise. Also, your glasses is getting in the way of giving you better sight and it's not enhancing your pretty face. I'll need that pretty face for my clients "
She cleared her throat, clearly embarrassed" sir... I mean I planned on getting one soon"
" Huh! Thenei guess the sooner the better " he shrugged.
Jewel smiled and bowed slightly" thank you sir I'll make sure to repay you "
Ian gave a mysterious smirk and walked towards her" really? Then you owe me a favour. I won't ask now but definitely later "
Jewel pursed her lips, the tip of her nose touching the man's shirt
' Too close ' she screamed in her head. She dared not look up' please please sir .. let me live '.
Fortunately, a clearing of a throat was heard and ian stepped slightly away from her they both turned to look at the direction of the voice.
"Doctor Jackson, pleasure to meet you "
Jewel sighed a relief.
The doctor, dressed in a white overall coat, with a file in his hand and a speck of grey hair on his head, he was in his late 40s smiled politely at the young man" Mr Wyatt the pleasure is mine. I'm honoured. Please, this way " he said and led the duo to his office.
They stayed in the hospital for an hour and soon, they were already on their way to the company.
" Doctor Jackson said you'll get your new glasses later in the week. Hopefully, you'll have to manage without this hideous one"
Jewel jerked her head towards him " I won't be able to see"
" Don't worry, Ich werde deine Augen sein(I'll be your eyes in German)
Jewel's eyes went wide " that's a different language. You were speaking a different language when talking to Mr Jackson weren't you?" How many languages can you speak?"
The man's eyes lit up" you're so observant, I can speak 5 languages German, Italian, french,russian and Spanish . The language you saw me speaking with Mr Jackson is Italian "
" Wow . Hmm let me guess was it Spanish? No it looked like how you pronounce that famous actor Arnold Schwarzenegger surname... So is it.... Ah ah she tilted her head and screamed, turning to Ian who looked amused " German. Was it German?"
Ian grinned " you're so smart. Do you know what it means?"
Jewel shook her head and Ian replied"I'll be your eyes "
She blushed" looks like a pickup line " she laughed nervously.
" How so?" He parked the car under a tree , away from the company" can you walk to office from here? I know you wouldn't want to be seen with me if I stopped the car Infront of the company you're blushing enough though "
Jewel blushed harder again" well... I'll get going sir thank you " she opened the door was about going but she changed her mind and turned to him" sir..."
" That worried about us seen together at the hospital?" Don't worry, the hospital belongs to the wayatt family. We're not dating why hiding?"
" Oh... I'm sorry sir I'm..." Why does her boss have to say everything so blunt? She's been blushing every now and then because of his flirty words.
He cut her off " go on now"
" See you at the meeting sir" she hurriedly turned away . Ian watched her as he moved his car once more.
