Chapter 10 - Beginning

"Are you dating Uncle Tio, Pri?!" Nita exclaimed, almost the entire class immediately turned to April whose face was now trying hard to hold back her embarrassment. She couldn't deny it considering that both of her parents already knew about her relationship with Uncle Tio, so April just stayed silent without any intention of answering Nita's question and continued reading. "Can you not talk so loudly?" Amy replied, feeling uncomfortable with Nita's mouth, while Nita just grinned as she pulled up a chair to sit next to April. "Eh, but it's true. Last night I saw you two holding hands with Uncle Tio at the fair." Now Nita's voice sounded soft. As if whispering to April so that her friend would answer her question, April then let out a long breath. If she didn't answer right now, her friend would definitely keep asking and make April annoyed. "If so, why?" April glanced at Nita. "WHAT?!" April quickly covered Nita's mouth before the girl made the whole class excited because she was dating an uncle. "Can you shut up? If you can't, I'll tape your lips!" April hissed, Nita could only nod slowly even though she was still shocked. She didn't know why her bookworm friend was in a relationship with Uncle Tio who was considered very mature, even though so far several male friends had tried to approach the girl. But not a single man could make April interested. "Why does it have to be Uncle Tio?" Nita asked, still curious, whispering to April. "Why is that? Do you like Uncle Tio too?" April replied. "Well no, it's just. Uncle Tio is old!" Nita snapped. "Not that old! Only ten years apart." April replied, Nita's eyes almost bulged out hearing it. She glanced at Amy while the girl just shrugged her shoulders indifferently, not wanting to interfere with the affairs of the girl who was drunk on love. "Ten years? Eh, he's already ten years old. Already in elementary school, already grown up. But you were just born, Pril! Can you imagine that?" Nita protested, but April seemed to not care about all that. Because April was a girl who wanted a grown man, not a skinny boy. "Yeah, my parents are also ten years apart in age. But they're cool." April replied not wanting to lose, but in a very calm tone of voice. "But that was in the past, Pril. How can you compare it to today?" Nita said. "Enough, I'm going to the canteen. It's complicated to talk to you!" April said who immediately stood up leaving her friends. "Eh, what's wrong with him?" Nita asked Amy. "A bit sensitive now? Maybe because of Uncle Tio, hehehe..." Amy replied, Nita could only shake her head in disbelief. She had thought that April was only admiring Uncle Tio's game and athletic body, never thought that April would go this far. "Is it because we left April at the cafe that night with Uncle Tio?" Nita asked again. "I don't know, you just ask him." Amy replied. "He's already so blunt when asked that, how can I ask him something more intense." Nita sat there, confused. "Just let him be! He'll break up anyway, then he'll cry to us. Uncle Tio is already so mature, how could he possibly put up with snotty girls like us." Amy said, Nita nodded in agreement. She was sure that April and Uncle Tio would break up soon, either because April was too childish or Uncle Tio was too indifferent to April. And her best friend would definitely come back to her again. "My, can I get a ride?!" Nita said as she followed Amy to the motorbike parking lot. "Okay, I'll take the motorbike out first." Amy replied. "I'll wait at the portal!" "Okay!" Nita walked out of the parking lot. But suddenly she heard the sound of a sports motorbike from a distance, it was indeed a common thing considering that there were many students in this school who rode sports motorbikes. But this sound, it seemed like Nita knew the sound very well. Like the sound of a sports motorbike that she always heard next to her house, and sure enough. Uncle Tio came gallantly, Nita had just realized that April had been waiting there. Nita slowed down, not wanting April to see her when the girl started to sit on the back seat of Uncle Tio's sports motorbike. And not long after that the two lovebirds started to leave, Nita couldn't believe what she saw in broad daylight like this. "Nit, come on! Why are you hiding there?" Said Amy who was already beside Nita. "Eh, come on!" Nita hurriedly got on Amy's motorbike. "Let's go home?" "Come on, hurry up! Those two people are already gone." Nita said starting to get annoyed. "Who are those two people?" Amy asked while speeding up her motorbike. "April and Uncle Tio!" "Huh, April was picked up by Uncle Tio?" Amy asked in disbelief. "Yes, so hurry up." "Gosh, why are you always stalking April? Just leave them alone, they won't disturb your life anyway." Amy said, starting to get annoyed, besides, Amy and April's houses are in different directions. And there's no way she could follow the two people who are in love. "Well, I'm worried about April, who knows if Uncle Tio took her to the bushes and did something to her." Amy slapped her forehead in disbelief. "Does Uncle Tio really look like that?" Amy replied, immediately making Nita think hard. Uncle Tio looked like a good man who rarely left the house except to go to work and play volleyball in the afternoon. Uncle Tio never even brought a woman to his rented house even though the man lived there alone. "Hmm, yeah." Nita's shoulders felt weak, maybe she was the only one who thought too much about Uncle Tio and April. "Okay, I'm going home, if you still want to follow them. I'll drop you off here now!" Amy said. "Oh no! Then how am I going to get home?" Nita started to worry. "That's why I'm looking for a boyfriend like Uncle Tio who's willing to take his girlfriend to and from him!" Amy replied. "Gosh, Uncle Tio is too handsome. No way would a guy like that want to be with me." Nita's face started to turn bright red. "That's why I'm buying skincare!" Amy exclaimed, immediately riding her motorbike to Nita's house first, while Nita just grinned at the rearview mirror when Amy saw her. Although until now Nita was still curious about where the two people had gone.
