Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Sunrise Reflections and Unspoken Desires

The following morning, Charlie woke up feeling a sense of calm and anticipation. The sun was beginning to rise, casting a warm glow over the resort. She opened her curtains, allowing the golden rays to flood her room, and opened the glass door to let in the refreshing breeze.

With a cup of steaming coffee in hand and soft music playing  from her earphones, Charlie made her way to the shoreline. She found a quiet spot near the water, where she could pray, think, and plan for the busy day ahead.

As she sat there, watching the waves gently lap against the shore, her thoughts wandered to Sloan and Sicily. The unspoken connection between her and Sloan had been growing stronger, and she couldn't deny the pull she felt towards him. Yet,  she reminded herself that this is purely business and she does not go for too liberated men who are into non-monogamous relationships.  She brushed off the idea and reminded herself to just focus on the task of planning schedule, sessions, tour and laid back itinerary, which was way more important that what she was daydreaming about.

Lost in her contemplation, Charlie took a sip of her coffee, savoring the rich flavor. She mulled over the schedule, considering the possibilities and the potential content of the show without her interest for Sloan being detected. It was a delicate dance, and she wanted to make sure she approached it with honesty and respect yet doesn't want to give in to the fact that she really is getting interested with the man.

Just as she was deep in thought, Sloan emerged from his room, still groggy from sleep. He checked on Sicily, who was still peacefully resting, and decided to have a quick coffee before setting out to explore the area. As he prepared his coffee, he caught a glimpse of Charlie in the distance, near the shore. There was an undeniable magnetic pull, drawing him towards her.

Unable to resist the temptation, Sloan found himself walking in Charlie's direction, coffee in hand. He was captivated by her presence, her beauty enhanced by the rising sun. Unbeknownst to him, Sicily had followed and observed the scene unfold, a mischievous smile on her face.

With a playful startle, Sicily surprised Sloan, causing him to spill some of his hot coffee. He winced in pain, but couldn't help but laugh at the unexpected interaction. "What are you looking at?" Sicily teased, her laughter filling the air.

Sloan grinned, rubbing his burnt finger. "Hey, you shouldn't scare me like that so early in the morning."

Mon, having rushed out of his room thinking there was an emergency, arrived with a concerned expression on his face. Seeing Sicily, he couldn't help but be taken aback by her beauty, forgetting to put his shirt on in his haste.

Confused but intrigued, Mon asked with a heavy accent, "Is everything okay?"

Sicily approached Mon, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Yes, Mon darling, everything is fine. I was just admiring the view," she said, her voice dripping with playfulness.

Mon blushed slightly, taken aback by Sicily's sudden closeness. He stammered, "Okay, um, are you hungry?"

Sicily smiled sweetly, asked Mon. "A bit, darling. What do you plan to feed me?"

Mon's response was slightly awkward as he tried to regain his composure. "I would have to check with Charlie. She is the chef."

Sicily just gave Mon a smile and said, " No, rush darling". She then asked Sloan "Where are you off to?"

Sloan, still recovering from the playful startle, replied, "Just going for a quick run. I find it helps clear my mind."

Sicily's eyes sparkled with mischief. "I'll go with you. Let's do a quick tour of the area as well."

Sloan looked at Sicily, a mixture of surprise and amusement on his face. He nodded, unable to resist her playful energy. "Sure, why not? It'll be a nice way to explore the surroundings together."

As they set off for their morning run, Charlie watched from a distance, a mix of emotions swirling within her. She couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy, seeing Sloan and Sicily together. However, she knew she had to respect their relationship and again reminded herself that it was just work that is connecting them.

Charlie took a deep breath and reminded herself to focus on her own journey. She had work to do and plans to execute. With a renewed sense of determination, she returned to the resort to prepare breakfast first then for the busy day ahead.

The summer sun cast its warm glow upon them, illuminating the unspoken desires and uncharted territories of their hearts. And as they embarked on this unpredictable journey.
