Chapter 59 - Chapter 59

A few days later, the streets of Konoha bustled with life under a clear blue sky.

"Second brother, where are the wooden fish rice balls you promised?" Sasuke puffed out his cheeks in frustration, walking beside Satoru.

Satoru scratched his head, looking unapologetic. "Ah, that shop closed. But hey, how about I 'borrow' some three-color dango for you instead?"

Sasuke sighed heavily. "You're not fooling me again, second brother. Everyone knows you're the one obsessed with sweet things. I don't even like sweets."

Satoru stopped, crossing his arms with an air of mock seriousness. His voice dropped to a conspiratorial tone.

"That's suspicious, Sasuke. Itachi and I are proud members of the Sweet Party Organization, but you, my dear little brother, are clearly a traitor to the Savory Party."

He pointed an accusing finger at Sasuke. "So, I'm officially expelling you from our group!"

Sasuke stared at him, deadpan, his mouth twitching with barely contained irritation. How did I end up with such an unreliable second brother?

Satoru's mischievous grin widened. "Anyway, since the rice balls are off the table, how about we go for ramen instead?"

Sasuke froze at the word ramen. His stomach churned at the memory of their last ramen adventure, complete with an impromptu eating contest.

"Ramen?" Sasuke asked hesitantly. "Is there… a festival or contest happening again?"

Satoru waved dismissively. "No, no, Konoha's been pretty quiet lately. Just regular ramen this time. Plus, I have a free coupon, thanks to Shisui's generosity."

Before Sasuke could respond, Satoru's sharp eyes caught sight of a familiar figure in the distance.

"Wait, is that Naruto?" he muttered, his gaze narrowing.

Naruto was standing at the Hokage Rock, wiping at the statues of Konoha's previous Hokage.

"Let's go check it out!" Satoru said excitedly, grabbing Sasuke by the collar and dragging him along.

"Wha—! Let me down!" Sasuke shouted, flailing helplessly as Satoru sprinted toward the rock.

Within moments, they arrived at the base of the Hokage Rock.

"Yo, isn't this Naruto?" Satoru called out with a grin.

Naruto turned around, surprised. His face lit up as he recognized Satoru. "Big brother Satoru!"

"It's been a while, hasn't it?"

"What are you doing here?" Sasuke asked, glaring at Satoru as he finally got his feet back on solid ground.

Naruto scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Just cleaning the Hokage Rock statues. Gotta keep them spotless, you know?"

Sasuke crossed his arms, unimpressed. "Judging by those smudge marks, you're not doing a great job."

Naruto bristled immediately. "What's that supposed to mean, you bastard?! You're just jealous because you'll never be Hokage!"

Sasuke's eyes narrowed. "What did you call me, you dobe?"

And just like that, the two devolved into their usual bickering.

Amid the chaos, Satoru leaned casually against the rock, holding something suspicious in his hands.

"Second brother," Sasuke suddenly paused, noticing Satoru's unusual behavior. "What are you doing?"

"Yeah, big brother, what's with that smile?" Naruto added, glancing over.

Both turned to see Satoru holding a camera, the lens aimed squarely at them.

"Hey, don't mind me," Satoru said, grinning shamelessly. "Just capturing life's best moments!"

He pointed the camera at the sky. "Look at that cloud! Perfect lighting. How could I not immortalize this memory?"

Sasuke's eyebrow twitched. "Second brother… do you think I'm stupid?"

Naruto nodded in agreement. "Even I don't believe that excuse, big brother."

For once, Sasuke and Naruto were perfectly in sync, glaring at Satoru with united disdain.

"Haha, you've both gotten smarter!" Satoru teased, looking far too pleased with himself.

"Delete it," Sasuke demanded, stepping forward.

"Yeah, big brother," Naruto added, his tone suddenly serious. "That's blackmail material, and it's gotta go."

The two exchanged a determined look, forming a temporary truce to confront their shared enemy.

Satoru stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Delete it? Hmm, not impossible…"

Both boys leaned in, waiting for his response.

"But…" Satoru trailed off, his mischievous grin widening ominously.
