I got home and flung myself into my bed. I slammed the door and dove under my blankets shutting out the rest of the world. It felt almost instant and I fell into a dream...
Or was it a memory?
The study was all made up in shades of blue and brown wood. I sat stiffly on a chair that probably had never meant to be sat on. It felt so hard and unwelcoming, it matched this room perfectly.
Through the curtains came a last stream of light. They were mostly drawn but somehow it had still found me. I was human again and older, and this place seemed very familiar.
"Do you know why I asked you here today?" Came a high sharp voice.
I startled to see a woman entering, her silver hair clipped into a neat bun. She wore a long blue two piece pant suit. I watched in a sort of daze as she sat herself down across from me.
