Caro has been standing listening to her stepmom saying things that will change her whole life, and she can't stop it; she had to obey every word; her father did nothing but support his wife; he cares less about her because he thought she was the cause of his first wife's death.

And now she was to replace her stepsister and marry a well-known womanizer, a man who is sick, words have it that he is mentally unstable, her father owned a debt with the family and he couldn't pay so he sold his first daughter, but Caro was not the first daughter, but the second, her stepmom will not stay alive and let her precious daughter get married to this man so she exchanged, making Caro the slave daughter, the scapegoat.

All this hits Caro hard but she can not do anything about it, all her plans are scattered, what will she tell her boyfriend, Seth and her had known each other for a year now and she had grown to like him, he was the heir of diamond groups, the company is doing well, with a lot of estates in their name, Caro believed he was her knight in shining armor, but now her dreams of happily ever after is put to flames, how would she disclose this ill event to Seth.

She was dismissed after she was instructed not to review this with anyone and if she did so, then she would lose all her fingers, Caro went back to her duty of cleaning the house even though they had maids to do so but she had to clean her stepsister's room, on arriving to the room, she knocked but no answers, so she figured Lilah was not home yet, so she pushed the doors open and what she saw broke her more, on the bed lie Seth bare-chested with half naked Lilah on him sleeping soundly, in shock she dropped the bucket of water she was carrying, the sound woke them up, Seth showed no remorse and Lilah had the evilest look on her face, with a smirk she asked Caro

" What are you doing here, why did you not knock are you that dumb to not respect people's privacy, and with that loud noise, you have caused me a headache"

Caro watched as Seth held Lilah, asking her where it hurt, giving her water, and a loud voice, rebuked Caro why she would make such a loud noise, then dragged her out of the room, while Lilah smirked from ear to ear when Seth was not looking.

Caro stood outside the door, traumatized by what happened, her boyfriend who she had known for a year now in bed with her stepsister, with no remorse at all, she was treated like nothing as if she did not matter at all and was her offense that big that she was treated this way, tomorrow she will get married to a sick person, who is mentally ill, her dreams of being free gone like the winds, her only source of happiness turns out to be her worst nightmare.

At that point, she knew she was born to suffer and die in pain.

She ran up to her room in tears, sinking into her old bed crying. She had once suspected her stepsister and Seth, but she chose to trust him, she was so blind and naive. Why would someone love her? She let herself have hope and believed she could escape fate; now, she will bear the pain.

Maybe getting married to this sick man was not bad at all; she could escape all this.

Maybe she could be loved by a sick man at least with this thought Caro slept off.
