"Huh, a skill?" Tim was taken back by what was said to him. 'Why does he want to gift me a skill all of a sudden?' Tim wondered.
"The skill will be my compensation to you to you, my compensation for the kind of life you have lived till know" Aks 3 added.
'Compensation? You think a fucking skill can compensate for the kind of life I have lived?' Tim annoyed at this point questioned, an annoyance that he could not even show visibly on his face.
'The reason why I am giving you this skill, is because this is a mission that you will not survive, your existence has derailed the organization for years. Even if you manage to survive the beast, you will not survive me.
I could just kill you here, but your death will surely be investigated, I might even be seen by the dark scout that monitor your daily life event.
I don't think I will be able to escape possible prosecution. If you died at the hands of the beast, it will be a different story. 'Ask 3 concluded in his mind.
Tim's suspicion was valid. Something was at play here, but how could he know that Aks 3 wanted to end his life.
Aks 3 brought out a small book. The book contained the required method to activate the skill. Tim looked at the skill name "SHUNPO" he muttered to himself. He did not know much about mana skills, but what he knew was that once you learnt a skill, merely calling the name of the skill will trigger the skill.
He did not know why just calling a skill, would trigger the skill, but he had seen enough skill casting to sort of conclude on how it works.
"I don't think you will awaken the shadow element, but you should be able to trigger a watered down version of it because of the element difference" Aks 3 explained.
This was new information to Tim, so elements have a play in the strength and proper utilization of a skill. He had learned a lot from the brief interaction with Aks 3, he really wished he could like get educated on all these things. He was really uneducated.
"Let's resume, play time is over" Aks 3 instructed, as he resumed his journey towards his destination.
After about 3 hours of travelling, they finally got to the entrance of the forest housing the Saber Liger. The Saber Liger specie was the king of the current forest. They were the very top of the food chain in the forest.
The forest was just like any other forest except that bones were littered around the forest, the intelligent beast used it as a way to deter visitors from entering the forest.
"We are about to enter the forest, brace yourself. I will not assist you in battle of any kind. Just assume that I am not here, and before I forget, submit the cloak in your possession it would not be fair on some of the beasts if you could avoid their senses." Aks 3 said.
'Shit, how does he know I have a cloak? Has he being following me? No he does not have time to follow me. It always did feel as if I was being followed and monitored constantly, it seems my instincts were not just playing a trick on me' he thought.
Bringing out a common grade cloak from his spatial ring, he handed it to Aks 3. He wanted to test the limit of what Aks 3 knew about him.
As Aks 3 collected the common cloak from Tim, he used his left hand to throw a quick punch towards Tim's abdomen. POOM!
Tim's body bent like the way a stick would when snapped, as he flew and crashed into trees, entering into the forest.
The punch to his abdomen hurt more than when he was stabbed with a sword. Tim sat up and vomited the displaced blood from his insides. He even saw bit of his organs in his vomit, but he was not worried because he truly trusted his regenerative capabilities.
He really did try to trick Aks 3 and he was punished severely for it, it was a lesson well learnt by Tim.
"You dare try to fool me, the next time you do that would be your last. Now hand over your cloak!" Aks 3 said angrily. Tim was scared, the cloak was his last chance of possibly escaping the monstrous beast he was going to face.
He reluctantly brought out the high grade cloak and handed it to Aks 3. He even wondered if the high grade cloak could escape the eyes of Aks 3, but that was something he would not dare to try after what Aks 3 just did to him.
"Now proceed to complete the task within 2 days, I have no time to waste" Aks 3 instructed, as he wore the exact cloak he collected from Tim and faded out of existence.
'The cloak is truly powerful, I can't believe that he just disappeared like that, it was as if he was never here to begin with' he thought.
Tim suddenly heard a growl from about 10 meters from him. It seemed as if the beasts dared not to come near him because of the presence of Aks 3. Now that Aks 3 presence had been erased from the surrounding the beasts slowly started regaining their confidence.
Two wolves suddenly came out from their hiding. They were seriously salivating from the possibility of feasting on the unawakened being in front of them.
The wolves were about 7 feet tall with purple fur on their body. Purple lightning danced around their tail which indicated to Tim that they were definitely awakened and they had the lightning affinity.
He brought out his pitch black blade which seemed to have grown longer in anticipation of the battle. He did not want to know, what it felt like to be stung by the purple lightening dancing around the tail of the beast, so he put his entire focus on the coming battle.
