While running through the forest towards the organization's hideout, Tim was analyzing his battle against the leader of the expedition. He came to a conclusion that he needed to awaken. He guessed that he had mana energy flowing through his body, at least he knew that mana energy was being stored somewhere in his body constantly.
He had a golden engraving on his chest, in the shape of a cross. Growing up he first thought the engraving was done to mark him, but after a little investigation, he figured out that he had engraving on his chest since he was discovered.
After he clocked 7, he discovered that mana energy was getting absorbed into his body with the golden cross engraving acting as a gateway for the mana energy to enter his body. Which sort of explained why he could heal faster than the average human.
The engraving was like his mana storehouse, but since he was not awakened, he could not utilize the stored mana. He was like a large limitless container with no way to access the contents of the container.
He almost died twice, maybe if he was awakened the result would have been different.
.......
Back at the battle ground. After Tim cloaked himself and left the premises. The pressure disappeared on the man Tim was battled with.
"Who are you? Why did you interrupt me" the leader yelled out.
"Well, I have been watching the fight since the beginning. Hahahaha. The boy is a battle freak. He took out an entire Elite expedition team. Wow. I have not seen a more thrilling battle than this in months." the voice replied happily.
The leader was angry at what he heard, he was denied his kill just because the mysterious person found the teen to be fun. Of course he could not visibly show his anger, the mysterious had the power to restrict him without even being in his range, what will now happen if he actually angered the mysterious person.
"No need to be angry, you will have your chance. With the boy's personality he will definitely find you for a rematch" the mysterious person said as if he could read the mind of the leader.
"Tch, such a waste "the leader complained, as he walked back to his truck.
........
Tim arrived at his organization, then went to have a change of cloth before proceeding to the task center. He definitely failed the previous task he picked, but he wanted to see if he could still savage some points.
He walked to the collection point. "I have completed my task" he lied. He knew his lie would be sniffed out, but he just wanted to see if he would get points for killing 8 experienced Elite Warriors.
"You know the drill" Tille at collection point instructed. Tim nodded his head and rolled his sleeves, stretching his for Tille. This was not the first time he would be scanned.
Tille had a unique skill that made him know the validity of any word, and to know the reason for any lie. In short, the truth could never escape from Tille.
Tille placed both hands on Tim's hand and casted his skill, Seer.
His eyes suddenly went purple for 3 seconds then it stopped. Although Tille could not get the full detail about Tim's task, he knew the truth about what Tim said.
"You tried for someone that has not awakened, but the task was not completed. You will have to take on and complete another task before the end of the day" Tille said.
Although Tim knew how it was going to play out, he was still angry overall with the rules of the organization, especially on the rules and restrictions that were placed on him.
The supposed reason for the organizations special treatment of him was that the organizations leader, his adopted father, saw serious potential in him. Maybe it was due to the weird engraving on his chest, he did not know, but he knew he had always been treated different.
After his 12th birthday, and his failure to awaken his talent, the frequency of special task he got from his father dropped. Now he had a new task he had to complete from his supposed father.
A task that required him to take on a dangerous, 4 star beast. He could not even fare well against an ordinary San Master, how was he going to cope. Although Aks 3 was asked to protect him, he knew it was just a cover, Aks 3's real mission was to monitor him and ensure he completed the mission at all costs.
Although safety ought to be guaranteed with Aks 3, he could not bank on that safety. Aks 3 was just a powerful and unpredictable person. How could he trust his safety on someone that derives pleasure from the pain of others?
He had thought of escaping the hellhole that was his organization The Black Sparrows, but his wishes were very much different from the reality of things. His wish was to escape from the organization and become strong enough to return for revenge, but the reality was that he could not escape.
The organization had implanted every single member with an empowered tracker, a tracker that could reveal the location of every member, and destroying the tracker was a bad idea because it would put the deserter on a black notice and ping the last known location.
Once a black notice is issued, all Aks council members are ordered to immediately prioritize the elimination of the deserter. Even if the deserter manages to escape the empowered tracker's ping and disappear even to another planet.
The strongest council member Aks 1 possessed a broken skill that lets him locate every single entity he had come across with whether the entity was dead or not, and Aks 1 always interrogate every member that joins the organization whether the member joined willingly or not.
With all the security measures in place escaping the organization was practically impossible.
