Ryan felt like he needed to step away for a moment. He stood up and went to the garden. It wasn't dark because there were different colors of lights that made the garden look really beautiful.
Ryan exhaled loudly as he remembered his mother's words.
He didn't want to think about it but somehow, he couldn't stop himself. He closed his eyes tight as he took deep breaths, he knew he was really depressed.
He stayed there for a long time before he went back to the party to tell Chad that he wanted to go to bed, Chad didn't protest, he let him go because Ryan did look like he needed to rest.
Ryan went to the bedroom and quickly fell asleep. Sleep was the only time he had peace.

Morning
Joy woke up very early in the morning and cooked for the family that seemed to have not woken up yet. She did everything she needed to do. She made sure the house was in order before preparing for school, first day at the new school.
She got dressed and was ready to go. She looked really happy because the uniform fitted her so well and she loved it. She walked to the living room and wore her shoes, as soon as she was about to step out of the house.....
"Ouch....." She screamed in pain and looked behind her only to see the devil herself: Jessica.
"Why did you do that?!" She yelled at Jess who didn't seem to care.
"Hitting you with one iron spoon isn't enough" Jess smirked at her " I'm going to kill you!" She really looked like the devil.
"What your problem?"
"My problem is you!" Jess was really something.
What did I do to her this early morning? Joy thought to herself.
"Why?" Joy tried to act like she didn't care.
"Move out"
"Well, I can't. At least not now"
"Then when! When are you gonna stop pissing me off?!" She screamed making Joy close her eyes.
"I didn't do anything to you. So I think you're your own problem" Joy boldly told her.
"How dare you!!!" She was about to hit Joy with the big spoon again but Joy was faster as she caught her hand and threw it away from her face.
"Now if you'll excuse me.... I have a place to be" she looked into Jess' eyes sending shivers down her spine.
Joy hated her and her family so much.
She didn't want her mood to be ruined so she started singing to herself as she walked to the bus stop.
Ryan woke up and saw Chad sleeping on the other side of the bed. He sighed because he knew Chad was totally wasted last night.
He didn't want to be late for school so he quickly freshened up and wore the uniform he dry cleaned yesterday.
He didn't have breakfast because he didn't want to or he forgot. He called his driver who drove him to school because he didn't feel like riding on his bike that morning.
In the car, he left Chad a message saying he had already left for school. It was so early but he didn't want to get there anymore.
He felt better than yesterday, at least he didn't feel so grumpy but he was still grumpy.
"Young Master, are you okay?" The man asked seeing that the man behind him had been out for a while.
"I'm fine"
The man sighed since he knew what was going on with the young master. He, himself wished it stopped.
"We're here. Do you want me to drive you inside?"
"Oh no. I'll just walk. Thanks" he politely answered with a bow and the man waved him goodbye.
Ryan stood at the front of the gate unmoving. He looked like he was contemplating if he should go in or not.
"Are you not going in?"
He heard a girl's voice that caught his attention. He turned to look at the person with that voice and there she was, standing there looking impatient.
"If you're not pleas excuse me" it looked like she could walked through Ryan at that moment.
"Why do you look so happy?" He could not stop himself ftom asking.
"Does it show? Didn't know that" thus little girl found a funny way to move Ryan out if the way and entered the school premises.
"I asked you a question" Ryan reminded as he walked in too.
"I'm happy because because I'm here, simple" Ryan looked confused.
Why would she be so happy about being here?
What am I even thinking? Do I know her?
He shook his head and walked away. For a slight moment, he forgot his problems.
Joy wondered if something was wrong with the man that just left
"Strange " she happily strode inside the school heading to her classroom with was on the third floor. Just as she started walking through the stairs she heard that familiar voice call her name.
"Joy...." Joy turned to look at where the voice was coming from and she was right....
"Lily" she also called out her name. Lily ran up to Joy and hugged her tightly.
"I missed you "
Joy hugged her back. "Me too. One if the reason why I came early, you told me to never be late"
" Oh my good friend. You remembered, we are going to make the best pair" they both started walking in and lily talked about how her first day was like when she first came to the school.
Joy didn't want to expect much, she just hoped for a peaceful school year.
Even if Joy already looked around the school yesterday, she still couldn't believe how big it was.
"Looks like we're the only ones here"
"No, there thus guy that entered the same time as me. He looked familiar though." Joy really thought Ryan looked familiar but didn't remember where she first met him.
"Oh okay. Maybe you saw him yesterday " Lily suggested.
"I guess you're right ".
And they finally reached the front of the classroom....
