Chapter 5 - Starlet Hands Hunt I

"Listen, we don't have time for games," Davon said, his voice firm but controlled. "We know you're working with the Scarlet Hands. What we want to know is why." The director's eyes darted around the room, as if searching for an escape route. "I-I don't know what you're talking about," they stammered. Davon sighed, his patience wearing thin. "Don't play dumb. We have evidence. You're not as sneaky as you think you are."The director's expression changed, a hint of desperation creeping in. "Okay, fine. I'll tell you. But please, you have to protect me." "Protect you from who?" Aaron asked, his hand resting on his weapon. "The Scarlet Hands. They'll kill me if they find out I talked." Samantha's eyes narrowed. "What do you know about their operations?" The director hesitated, then began to spill everything. "They're planning a big shipment of children soon. I don't know where they're taking them, but it's going to be bad." Lena's expression turned grim. "We need to act fast."

Julia sat on the couch, her eyes fixed on the empty bed, her mind racing with thoughts of the kidnapped baby. She knew her infidelity had led to this moment, and she had to act fast if she wanted to see her child again. With trembling hands, she dialed the President's number and took a deep breath before speaking."Hello, Mr. President. It's me, Julia.""Hello, Julia. Make it quick, I'm in a meeting," the President's deep voice responded.Julia's voice cracked as she broke the news. "The baby's been kidnapped, Mr. President. Someone knows you're the father, and the Scarlet Hands were informed. They took the child, and that's why I called."The President's tone turned stern. "Alright, calm down, Julia. I'll call the police right away. We'll get to the bottom of this."Julia's tears flowed freely as she waited for the President to take action, her heart heavy with guilt and worry for her child's safety.

Davon, Aaron, Samantha, and Lena crouched in the shadows, gazing up at the Scarlet Hands' hideout. They had finally tracked down the location where the kidnapped child was being held."Alright, here's the plan," Davon whispered. "Samantha, can you hack into their security system and disable their cameras?"Samantha nodded, her fingers flying across her tablet. "Already on it.""Aaron, can you take out the guards?" Davon asked.Aaron nodded, his eyes fixed on the guards. "Got my eye on them.""Lena, can you create a diversion?" Davon asked.Lena grinned mischievously. "You know it."With a nod, the team sprang into action. Samantha disabled the security cameras, Aaron took out the guards, and Lena created a loud explosion at the rear entrance."Now's our chance," Davon said, leading the team into the hideout. They crept through the corridors, avoiding detection, until they reached the room where the child was being held."Got him!" Davon whispered, scooping up the child and handing them to Lena. But, just as they turned to leave, they were confronted by The Puppeteer and their loyal members."Ah-ah, Davon," The Puppeteer sneered. "You'll never leave this place alive." "We'll see about that," Davon replied, his eyes locked on The Puppeteer. "You're not as sneaky as you think you are."The Puppeteer snorted. "You're just a foolish hero. You think you can stop me? I have the upper hand here." "I don't think so," Davon said, his voice calm and confident. "You see, we've been tracking you for weeks. And now, the cops are on their way." The Puppeteer's smile faltered for a moment, but they quickly regained their composure. "You're bluffing. I have the best lawyers in the city. They'll get me out of this in no time.""I'm not bluffing," Davon said, his eyes glinting with determination. "And even if your lawyers do get you out, we'll just keep investigating until we bring you down."Just then, the sound of sirens echoed outside. The Puppeteer's eyes widened in panic as they realized they were surrounded."No...no...this can't be happening!" The Puppeteer exclaimed, their voice rising in desperation."It's over," Davon said, his voice firm. "You're finished."The cops burst into the room, surrounding The Puppeteer and their members. Davon and his team stood back, their mission accomplished.

Just as the cops were about to take The Puppeteer away, a loud explosion rocked the room. The walls shook, and the ceiling trembled. The Puppeteer's eyes lit up with hope as they saw Anchor and his associate, Phoenix, burst into the room."Ah, perfect timing!" The Puppeteer exclaimed, a sly grin spreading across their face.Anchor and Phoenix fought off the cops, their movements swift and deadly. They reached The Puppeteer and freed them from their restraints."Time to get out of here," Anchor said, his voice low and gravelly. The Puppeteer nodded, their eyes gleaming with excitement. "We have a plan to put into action. Let's go!"With Anchor and Phoenix by their side, The Puppeteer made their escape, leaving Davon and his team to wonder what had just happened.

Aaron floored it, the tires screeching as the car sped down the winding road. Davon, Samantha, and Lena held on tight, their eyes fixed on the fleeing Scarlet Hand."We can't let them get away!" Davon exclaimed, his voice firm."I'm trying, I'm trying!" Aaron replied, his hands gripping the wheel tightly. The Scarlet Hand's car took a sharp turn, and Aaron expertly followed, the tires squealing in protest."They're heading for the docks!" Samantha shouted, her eyes fixed on the GPS."Take the shortcut!" Lena yelled, pointing to a narrow alleyway.Aaron nodded and swerved into the alley, the car's sides scraping against the walls. They emerged on the other side, mere feet behind the Scarlet Hand.Davon and Lena fired their weapons, the bullets flying back and forth as the two cars engaged in a high-speed shootout."Return fire!" Davon yelled, his gun aimed at the Scarlet Hand's car.Lena nodded, her eyes fixed on the target, and fired her weapon. The Scarlet Hand's associates fired back, their bullets whizzing past Davon and Lena's heads."We need to take them down!" Lena exclaimed, her voice firm."Keep firing!" Davon replied, his gun blazing. The shootout continued, the two cars weaving through traffic, horns blaring, and people screaming. They sped past the docks, the sea spray misting the air.The Scarlet Hand's car took another sharp turn, and Aaron followed, his reflexes lightning-quick. They were gaining on them! But just as they thought they had them cornered, the Scarlet Hand's associates fired a smoke bomb, obscuring the road ahead."Ah no!" Davon exclaimed, his eyes scanning the smoke."Keep going!" Lena shouted. "We can't let them escape!"Aaron nodded, his eyes fixed on the road, and drove into the smoke, the car's tires screeching as they took a sharp turn.
