Panel 1:
The old Marigold Carnival looms in the distance, a decrepit husk of its former glory. The faded signs read "FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY," but the letters are chipped and hanging at odd angles. The place is dead silent.
Narration Box: "A once-thriving amusement park, now a ghost town. No Plot Man has seen some weird stuff, but this? It feels… off."
Panel 2:
No Plot Man walks toward the carnival entrance, holding the rubber chicken like a weapon. His face shows an odd mix of determination and unease.
No Plot Man (muttering): "Alright, No Plot Man. You've faced kazoos, angry bagel enthusiasts, and your own existential dread. What's one spooky carnival?"
Panel 3:
The gate creaks open on its own as he approaches. His eyes narrow as faint carnival music plays from somewhere inside, warped and distorted.
No Plot Man (sarcastically): "Oh, great. Automatic gates and creepy music. This definitely screams 'nothing bad will happen.'"
Panel 4:
Inside the carnival, the rides sit motionless, covered in rust and vines. A clown mannequin in a ticket booth stares blankly, its paint peeling to reveal a grotesque metallic underlayer.
No Plot Man (to the mannequin): "Hey, buddy, know where I can find the manager? Or a less terrifying place to be?"
The mannequin's head twitches slightly.
No Plot Man (jumping back): "Okay, never mind. You're doing great."
Panel 5:
As No Plot Man ventures deeper, he hears faint laughter. He grips the rubber chicken tighter, the squeaky toy squealing under the pressure.
No Plot Man: "Creepy laughter in the dark? Perfect. Just perfect."
The laughter grows louder, almost childlike, but with an unsettling edge.
Panel 6:
A funhouse mirror stands in front of him, the surface cracked. No Plot Man sees his reflection morph into a warped version of himself—distorted, menacing, holding a massive, flaming chicken.
No Plot Man (pointing at the mirror): "Alright, now you're just trying too hard. 2/10 for originality."
Panel 7:
The mirror shatters without warning, shards flying everywhere. No Plot Man ducks, but when he looks up, the area around him has completely changed. The once-empty carnival is now alive with movement.
Clowns, oversized and deformed, ride spinning teacups. Others hang from the Ferris wheel, cackling madly.
No Plot Man (nervously): "Uh, guys? I think your union break is over…"
Panel 8:
A giant clown on stilts approaches, its face painted in streaks of neon and its eyes glowing an unnatural yellow. It bends down, towering over No Plot Man.
Clown Leader: "Welcome to the show, hero. Care to join the fun?"
No Plot Man: "If this is about the kazoo thing, I swear, I didn't mean to."
Panel 9:
The clown leader swings a massive hammer, narrowly missing No Plot Man, who rolls out of the way just in time. He springs up, clutching the rubber chicken.
No Plot Man: *"Alright, you oversized balloon animal. Let's see if you can handle this!"
He swings the rubber chicken at the clown's legs. A loud squeak echoes through the carnival.
Panel 10:
The clown leader topples, crashing into a popcorn stand. Other clowns stop their antics and glare at No Plot Man. The laughter grows deeper, more sinister.
No Plot Man (gulping): "Oh, come on. I didn't even hit him that hard!"
Panel 11:
The clowns close in, their grotesque features more pronounced. One of them spits out confetti, which transforms into sharp, spinning blades.
No Plot Man (dodging): "Okay, confetti shurikens? That's just overkill!"
Panel 12:
As the clowns surround him, the distorted carnival music suddenly stops. A voice booms from the carousel, which now spins wildly. A figure emerges—a tall ringmaster in a blood-red coat, holding a glowing staff.
Ringmaster: "Enough! Let's not waste our guest's time. He came for answers, didn't he?"
No Plot Man (panting): "Answers? I just want to survive this freak show!"
Panel 13:
The Ringmaster steps forward, his shadow stretching unnaturally far. The clowns step back, bowing their heads.
Ringmaster: "Oh, you'll survive… for now. But tell me, hero—how does it feel to be the biggest joke of all?"
No Plot Man: "Joke? Buddy, I'm the joke. And that's why I always win!"
Panel 14 (final panel):
The Ringmaster grins, his teeth sharp and glowing. The carnival lights flicker wildly as the clowns begin to chant in unison. No Plot Man tightens his grip on the rubber chicken, standing his ground.
Narration Box: "In the heart of madness, the only way out is through. Can No Plot Man turn this nightmare into a punchline?"
