Chapter 14 - Chapter : 14 : Sid De Devoli

In the Demon World, Aireal, a subordinate of the Demon Lord, returned from a failed mission with dread weighing heavily on his shoulders. The imposing throne room was shrouded in darkness, with only the faint glow of torches illuminating the twisted decor of the demon court. The air was thick with malice, and the ominous aura of Sid De Devoli, the Demon Lord himself, pervaded the space.

Aireal knelt before his master, trembling uncontrollably as he recounted his failure. "My Lord," he stuttered, his voice shaky with fear, "I have failed to bring the boy." His head bowed low, awaiting the wrath he knew was coming.

Sid, seated on his throne with a cold and unyielding expression, slowly turned his piercing gaze toward Aireal. His crimson eyes glowed with fury, sending a chill through the hearts of all present. The silence was deafening, broken only by Aireal's labored breaths.

"You have disappointed me," Sid finally spoke, his voice calm but laced with menace. "A simple task, and you could not complete it. What use are you to me, General Aireal, if you cannot perform even the most basic of duties?"

Aireal's head shot up, panic etched on his face. "Please, my Lord, grant me another chance. I beg of you!" he pleaded, his voice rising in desperation. "I will not fail again. I swear it!"

Sid raised a hand, his fingers curling as though gripping an invisible object. Aireal's screams echoed through the chamber as he felt an unbearable pressure on his skull. Blood vessels burst in his eyes, and his vision blurred. "My Lord! Please forgive me!" Aireal cried out, but his words were drowned by his agony.

Sid's tone turned icy. "Weaklings like you have no place in my army." With a swift motion, the pressure intensified, and Aireal's head exploded with a sickening sound. Blood and fragments splattered across the floor, leaving a gruesome reminder of Sid's ruthlessness.

The court was silent, the tension thick enough to cut with a blade. Sid glanced at the remains of Aireal with disdain. "Clean this mess," he commanded. A lesser demon scurried forward, removing the body and the blood-soaked debris with trembling hands.

"Nore," Sid called, his voice echoing in the vast chamber. From the shadows emerged a grotesque Kotu demon, his twisted features accentuating his malevolence. Kneeling before Sid, Nore spoke in a voice dripping with deference. "My Lord, you summoned me?"

"Yes," Sid replied. "Aireal failed me, as you can see. You will take over his task. Bring me the boy, and I will grant you what you desire most—your harem of demon beauties."

Nore's grotesque lips twisted into a smile. "You are most generous, my Lord. I will not fail you. Consider it done."

Sid leaned back in his throne, his expression dark and calculating. "Do not disappoint me, Nore. The consequences will be dire."

With that, Nore disappeared into the shadows, leaving the throne room eerily silent once more. Sid's gaze lingered on the spot where Aireal had perished, his mind already scheming for what lay ahead.
