I stood by the door staring into space when I sighted Dave at a distance, at first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but when he got closer to me I became sure it was him. I became so excited smiling broadly at him, he got to me and smiled "hi Darla, how are you doing. I touched my hair slightly "I'm fine. He looked behind me "is Annie in?. Suddenly my countenance changed and I scoffs "she is not. He quickly turned back walking away, I ran up to him and held him by the hand, he looked at me surprised "Darla, is there a problem?. I stuttered mopping at him "ca....n't y...o..u s..e..e I love you?. He kept on looking at me without a word after what seems like forever I let go of his hand smiling sheeply " I'm sorry, I allowed my emotions get the better part of me. He nodded and left, I stood there almost in tears for the embarrassment I caused myself. I turned walking back into the house when I heard a soft voice calling my name "Darla. I immediately stopped turning back, my eyes meeting with Annie's.

He sluggishly walked home along a lonely path surrounded with bushes as he thought of Darla "is she really into me? But I love Annie. His thoughts kept running wild until he got home and showered, had his dinner and slept off.
The next morning, I woke up slowly from bed, dressed up for school and went downstairs to have breakfast. At the dinning, I looked at Annie still feeling the rejection from Dave, through out the breakfast session Annie never looked at me making me angrier. We got to school and I met with Emily who was walking to the class, she kicked me hard on the arm "hey silly girl. I smiled and suddenly stopped she looked at me "Darla are you alright?. I shake my head and suddenly stopped walking, facing her " I confessed my feelings for Dave to him yesterday. Emily suddenly burst into laughter almost in tears "Darla, don't tell me this is the reason you are moody. I nodded. She smiled "you did nothing wrong, I'm sure Dave likes you too. I stared at her "are you sure?. She nodded and pushed me towards the direction of our classroom.
