At the party, there were a lot of students who were invited, it was a cocktail party. Emily and I got very drunk, we partied till Dawn when we were brought home by one of our friends Tim in his dad's car. I struggled to find the way to my room and fell heavily on the bed and slept off. I heard a loud knock on the door and woke up quickly, I opened the door and saw my dad with annoyance written all over his face, he passed me and went to my bed sitting comfortably. I stood facing him with fear and anxiety knowing fully well that I was going to be scolded for going out for a party. He looked at me with blank expression but angrily "where did you go last night?. Annie got down from the cab and after paying she went to an apartment and knocked gently. A young lady in her late twenties opened the door and asked rudely "how can I help you?. Annie pulled her into a hug shedding tears of joy. The lady by name Camilla asked surprised still hugging Annie " young lady who are you?. Annie pulling away from the hug replied " won't you invite me in first?. Camilla looked at her before inviting her into her house. Annie went in surveying the spacious and well furnished living room. Camilla offered her a seat asking "what can I offer you? Annie rejected the offer saying "I'm not hungry, I'm here based on the information I received about a young lady by name Camilla who lives here who happens to be my mom. Camilla laughed hysterically " I don't have a child neither a husband, the child I had seventeen years ago is nowhere to be found because I dumped her. She burst into tears as she narrated how she got pregnant during her high school days and got rejected by her boyfriend. Annie listened with a heavy heart as she imagined the pain her biological mother must have felt being rejected. Camilla moved closer to Annie and knelt down crying profusely "I'm sorry my daughter, it was the situation I found myself that made me dumped you. Annie hugged her crying too.
