After giving the RV System her order to constantly scan for any dangerous elements in her surroundings, Lu Wuqi tried her best to move forward in one direction in this endless darkness.
The moonlight above them shone just enough light to let them see the vague outlines of their surroundings. The buildings as well as the cars could be seen vaguely in this darkness thanks to the moonlight.
Lu Wuqi only hoped to find a secure and hidden place which would keep them safe for the time being and give them enough time to make their next plan. After all, they had to quickly get out from the territory of Ling Long's gang. Lu Wuqi also suspected that Ling Long would definitely send his subordinates to search for them in an hour at the latest.
And in such a dark world, encountering zombies would truly be the end of them.
Lu Wuqi and the three of them walked in the empty road with nothing but dead cars and the frequent groans of zombies from all directions really gave them a very creepy feeling. Fortunately they didn't encounter any zombies on their way but Lu Wuqi had to constantly be on guard against any small movements around her and in this tense situation where the threat of zombies are everywhere, they couldn't help but stay vigilant at all times.
As they were walking for about a few minutes, Lu Wuqi suddenly heard the sound of RV system in her mind,
"Host! Host!! There's a zombie in the left hand side of you in about 10 meters, behind that car. Please do not make any sound, "
Hearing the mechanical voice of the RV system which obviously sounded more human for some reason but Lu Wuqi didn't pay it much attention and only said to Yun Qingyue beside her in a very hushed voice that only the two of them coul hear,
"Cover the child's mouth. There are zombies around us. Don't panic and don't let the child make any noise."
Lu Wuqi quickly said to Yun Qingyue and she was also a very quick witted and smart woman and immediately held the child's mouth and Instinctively followed Lu Wuqi.
Fortunately, it has only been a little over two months since the their planet Q2 fell into this zombie apocalypse, so the zombies have not yet evolved to their next stage. Otherwise, running away from the evolved zombies with their fast speed and keen senses with superhuman strength would take them straight towards the gate of death.
And because the zombies now were still at the base level where their speed is only at the level of an adult human walking, so it gives the people of this world a much larger chance of survival. The only tricky part is their immeasurable number which can outnumber even the most powerful person.
The RV system in Lu Wuqi's mind gave her these few basic information in the little time they had. It also said that not all zombies can evolve, which is also a huge relief.
Otherwise, just thinking about the situation where billions of zombies all over the world starts evolving, then humanity would definitely be doomed to extinction.
Lu Wuqi could see the exact location of the zombies thanks to RV system's scan and she could see that the zombies were moving towards them in a very slow pace. Lu Wuqi felt that zombies now weren't that scary and they could all definitely escape from them even with a relatively fast speed.
After she warned Yun Qingyue about the zombies, they were still quite a few distance away from them. Lu Wuqi didn't want to waste too much time here and with this thought, she immediately held the kitchen knife in her hand tightly as she approached the the first zombie which was now closest to them.
As she approached the zombies, the zombies immediately groaned and stretched out their bloody hands towards them as if to catch them and their bloody mouth, with visible bones and flesh were opened wide. Lu Wuqi knew that they wanted to just bite them and eat them and would obviously not let herself be caught by these mindless zombies.
She immediately came closer towards the zombies while maintaining a safe distance which ensured her an absolute safety. She held the kitchen knife with her two hands to exert maximum strength and immediately swung it towards the neck of the zombie.
Lu Wuqi knew the human anatomy by her very instincts and knew exactly where to strike to kill a human with the least amount of effort. And because the RV system has already said that the head of the zombie is their most and only vulnerable spot and as long as the head is severed from the neck, the zombie will be completely dead. It's same as those countless novels and movies about zombie apocalypse, so Lu Wuqi wasn't surprised.
But cutting the spinal cord is a hard task for any human being who isn't specifically trained. Because, you need to strike it with a precise movement and hit the exact spot on the neck where the bones don't hinder your movements but for ordinary people, finding this exact location is an extremely hard task. This also makes it harder for normal people to finish the task in one strike.
But Lu Wuqi was an expert mercenary and had decades of experience and training which made it extremely easy for her to kill these zombies.
And it went just like she expected, the kitchen knife went right through the spinal cord, Directly severing the head from the neck and dark blood immediately splattered from there like a fountain.
Fortunately, Lu Wuqi was prepared and immediately created a safe distance so the blood doesn't spill on her.
There were still another Zombie left and Lu Wuqi also killed it with a single strike within a few seconds.
After the two zombies were killed, the RV System in Lu Wuqi's mind immediately stated in a mechanical tone which obviously seemed much more human than the first time they communicated,
"Congratulations host!!! You are awesome host!! You actually killed two zombies within seconds!!
Also, Congratulations to the host for obtaining two Level 1 zombie crystal core. The zombie crystal cores are located in the brain of the zombies and also the main source of energy for them. The crystal cores are extremely valuable and can be used to make subsequent upgrades and modifications to the host's RV in the future. Please kill more zombies to collect more crystal cores.
The crystal cores can also help enhance the physical quality of humans and even give them a chance to awaken superpowers!!
