"Where am I?" He asked as he felt himself laying on something soft. Quickly looking arround, he found himself in a decent sized room.

"This doesn't look like hospital." He murmured.

The last thing he remembered was laying on the rough and harsh ground as his bullet ridden body screamed in pain in LOC.

The painful feeling of bullet holes, and hunger stuck on his mind so hard that he almost passed out. He endured for many hours alone, fighting against the enemies till the backup force come and secured the LOC for his country.

"What happened? AHH! "As he touched his fourhead he screamed in pain. Then he noticed.

"What's wrong with my voice?" He wondered aloud, panicking a bit at the unfamiliar feeling in his body.

Just as he attempted to get off the bed, he stumbled as a train wreck of memories slammed into his head.

He gritted his teeth in pain as the memories violently filtered into his brain.

'What? What the hell is happening!?' He thought in confusion as he quickly stood from the bed.

From the corner of his eyes, he found himself looking into the small mirror in the corner of the room.

He found himself staring at an unfamiliar face. Unlike what he remembered himself to be.

He saw medium length spikey red hair along with golden eyes, unlike black hair and black pupils what he remembered himself.

Red hair along with golden eyes, a young pale face stared back at him from mirror.

Just then, the train of memories that barged into his mind just moments earlier, answered his questions.

"Damn!" That's all he was able to say as he looked at himself in the mirror.

He vaguely recalled getting the opportunity to watch the 'Shokugeki no Soma' series. With nothing else to brighten up his life during those times at posting in LOC. He paid full attention, unconsciously paying more attention than anything and taking notes of some key things of this anime series such as he is now....

"Soma Yukihira.... The protagonist of foodgasmic fanservice manga 'Shokugeki no Soma' " His look of wonder turned into realization.

'I guess I can't exactly call it reincarnation since its more of transmigration, or is it actually reincarnation and I just got my memories back after the wound in my head.'

'This is so messed up' he thought, shaking his head as he looked through the memories to comprehend his situation better.

Soma Yukihira was born with a talent for cooking. He would sneak into the kitchen to attempt to cook what he have seen his parents cook earlier only to be caught numerous times by said parents who supported their child.

Soma was childish, brash and hot tempered which he got attributed from his parent's personalities.

He remembered from the bandage on his fourhead, and from previous life's memories that he was 10 years old and cut his forehead was caused by protecting a damn fish!.

From manga he remembered that, Soma's mother died because of heart failure when he was 12 years old. His father Joichiro was gone to dippeession due to loss of his wife. Soma then took him to cooking battle to overcome his dad's dippression and it's a way to remember their wife/mom.

Thus Joichiro were able to recover and continue pushing forward but the same couldn't be said if Soma wasn't able to give the final push.

'Forget that. I'm here, aren't I?' He thought, remembering suffering from countless bullet ridden his body still holding the LOC while waiting for reinforcements and suffering from hunger and solitude he endured.

With a second chance now in front of him, he knew what he would do.

This world was world of food and competition, both of which he enjoyed in earnest.

"To live life to the fullest, you need to be at the top of the food chain. Thats where my goal is." He decleared confidently.

'To stand at the pinnacle of this world and enjoy it's benifits. To stand at the top, you need to win. To win, you need to be better than your opponents.' He declared to himself with pride.

Despite his grand declaration earlier, he have an actual game plan to achive it.

He was an ex-military now but, he knows ther harsh training regime to make oneself fit. And for hours of cooking, you need a fit body to outperform other chefs.

As for learning new cooking methods and recipies from, who is better teacher than Joichiro Saiba (Yukihira) once called Demon of the culinary world.

'Now it still 2 years earlier time I come, I have to save mom somehow. I can't let her die knowing she would die soon. I have to do something!'

Now this matter was not just a story's chique, it's matter of his own.
