Wen Tang felt trapped.
For a moment, she even wanted to turn around and leave.
But looking down at the contract in her arms, she had no choice but to steel herself and say, "They refuse to meet with us."
"They probably never intended to negotiate with us in the first place."
As soon as she finished speaking, Lu Nianxin walked in.
She brought over a cup of freshly made coffee to Pei Heyan, looked up at Wen Tang.
Seeing that she hadn't spoken, she asked curiously, "Is the contract issue resolved?"
Her composed demeanor made it seem as though Wen Tang was the one who had erred, not her.
"Not yet," Wen Tang paused before replying.
This gave Lu Nianxin the perfect opportunity to take a jab.
"You dare to come back without resolving it? If everyone in the company was like you, that'd be tantamount to harboring idlers," Lu Nianxin said haughtily.
On her face, there wasn't a trace of guilt, a sharp contrast to her earlier display of tears and crying.
