Stupid?
Wen Tang muttered silently in her heart.
The elevator doors slowly opened, and Gu Muchen walked out, speaking as he did, "I really don't know how to describe you. Sometimes you seem quite smart, managing to stay by Pei Heyan's side. But other times, you seem foolishly pitiable."
"Did you pass up the chance to leave with me earlier because you were prepared to continue being scolded?"
Wen Tang silently lowered her head.
Gu Muchen opened the passenger side door of the car and said solemnly, "Secretary Wen, please get in the car."
Wen Tang sat in the car uncomfortably.
She didn't speak, and her whole demeanor was extremely reserved.
Gu Muchen glanced at her through the rearview mirror and changed his tone, "Actually, helping you isn't just because you're stupid."
Wen Tang looked at him doubtfully.
Gu Muchen turned his head with a smile, "How could I possibly stand to see such a beautiful woman being bullied?"
"And besides, a beauty who is super attracted to my looks."
