Chereads / The Beast Tamer Is A Slime / Chapter 10 - “[Slime Transformation] Skill”

Chapter 10 - “[Slime Transformation] Skill”

Out of the two linked skills, the words [Beast Taming] were grayed out, as if they couldn't be activated.

Only the words [Slime Transformation] were glowing with a golden light.

Neo, who was originally planning to tame the bastard slime, was stunned on the spot.

...what? What slime transformation? What kind of skill is this? There's no such skill in the list of slime's basic skills!

And how come the beast taming failed? Is it because the target was already dead when the skill was triggered?

Looking at the "melting" slime on the ground around him, leaving behind its huge corpse with no slime core, Neo finally knew what went wrong.

Ah! He was too eager to break free, so he took a shortcut...

But how could he tame a dead beast?

He's not a necromancer.

Naturally, the [Beast Taming] skill failed, leaving only the unknown [Slime Transformation] skill.

Didn't the system only link the [Devour] skill with the [Beast Taming] skill?

Where did this [Slime Transformation] skill come from?

Neo's head was full of question marks but he didn't stay confused for a long time and immediately opened the system panel, ready to see what the hell was this [Slime Transformation] skill.

And to his surprise, aside from the [Slime Cub] and the [Slime] columns full of skill sets belonging to the two states...

There was a new separate column with the logo of a little slime wearing a golden crown, followed by a few tiny words beneath.

[Slime Neo's Personal Skill]

Neo didn't know about the skills in this world, but from the system panel, he knew that there was the so-called basic skill, and there was also a personal skill.

For example, even among S-rank beast tamers, one person had an SSS potential due to their personal skill, but others could only stop at S-rank at best or even lower because of their garbage personal skill.

All [Beast Tamer] had at least an S-level potential, but they may awakened as a low-rank hunter, depending on to their physiques.

Neo, with a slime physique of an F-rank, was an example.

From then on, these hunters had to level up bit by bit until they reached the potential determined by their [Talent]'s average skill levels or the level of their personal skill

Once they exhausted their potential, they would be stuck at that rank forever, unable to move up.

Neo thought that the personal skills were only for awakened hunters, which was half true and half false.

Beasts could also have a personal skill. It was just that, it only worked for the dungeon boss, a unique beast among their kinds.

However, he was just an ordinary slime!

How come he also had a personal skill?

Neo was confused, and he was even more confused when he saw the one and only active personal skill belonging to his slime race.

[Slime Transformation]

(Skill level: L)

Oh shit.

A legendary-level skill?

What kind of luck is this??

Neo suddenly suspected that he was actually a slime king who just had the body of a slime cub.

Which slime cub could be as awesome as him, right?

But Neo quickly got rid of these thoughts and focused on reading the description and restrictions of this skill.

After reading the long text for a few minutes, Neo let out a sigh like a grandfather.

Ah...this skill is so awesome but so complicated at the same time.

Since it was so difficult to understand, let's just try it?

Neo didn't forget the option [Slime Transformation] on his system panel that was still shining with a golden light.

Now that he had digested the ambitious slime's core and successfully "paralyzed" it to death, Neo decisively chose to activate this mysterious skill.

The next second, the familiar cold voice of the system sounded in Neo's mind.

DING! [Slime Transformation] skill is activated.

Then, the white light of the special effects enveloped Neo, but this time, Neo saw himself moving towards the corpse of the ambitious slime.

Before Neo could realize what the special effects wanted to do, he saw himself slurping the whole slime corpse like a cold noodle!

Well, when Neo activated the linked skills, he was indeed still inside the slime's body, and just came out because the slime "melted".

When he activated the [Slime Transformation] skill, he actually ate the slime corpse without the [Devour] skill and soon, such a huge slime corpse disappeared into his tiny belly.

Maybe this was just a preview of the special effects because soon, a lively and cute music rang in the quiet cave, almost scaring other slimes to death.

Lalalala~

A pretty girl saves the world~

Hold my bling bling wand and—

TRANSFORM!

The next second, the slime swirled like a princess as it floated in the air.

The white glow around it slowly turned pink, and then red, and then a colorful rainbow.

The bald slime "princess" twirled elegantly, and soon, a pink skirt appeared on its belly down to its "leg".

At the same time, the slime grew a round "hand", and a tiny princess wand was stuffed into its tiny hand.

As if it was not enough, another golden tiara fell from the sky and landed on the slime princess's bald head.

Maybe because it was the first time the system gave a complicated special effect to a slime, the system was confused.

After giving it a skirt, a wand and a tiara, the special effects paused for a millisecond before it gave the slime another decoration—

A twin tail blonde wig.

The tiara was lifted by an invisible force and a cute blonde twin tail wig suddenly grew on the slime's bald head.

Once the slime firmly wore the wig, the tiara was dropped on top of the wig, completing the whole transformation.

The slime kept twirling as it "transformed", and the sound effect faithfully cheered for the slime princess.

But apparently, this was not the end.
