It From A Wrinkle In Time

A Time of Tigers - From Peasant to Emperor

There is a sense for greatness. Some people carry it around like a bad smell. They make us stop on the street, and look their way, whether we wish to or not. Their appearance might be ordinary, but there’s something about them, something beyond the norm. Something that makes you almost wish to bend the knee to them. Our kings have likely had that something, those that came from nothing but ashes and ruin, in times of trouble and famine, where the hearts of the masses are restless, and they need a cause to bind to. What makes them choose one man over another? It is my contention that there is a true gravity to such individuals. That progress, or competence, or greatness itself carries a weight. That a man might grow greater in the dark, and whether he wishes it or not, by the sheer gravity of his existence, tigers will make their way towards his door, catching his scent in the wind. The tigers hide themselves in the forests, in villages unknown, amongst the peasantry, but sooner or later, it does seem, that they are always cast into the light. It requires an immense effort of will to keep them hidden. A man of such a gravity will see themselves risen, without will, to ranks beyond that of the norm – in times of peace, they might rise high indeed. But in times of chaos? When the world is in upheaval, when every piece in up in the air? Then a tiger from the most lowly of starts, with a competency – a density – beyond belief, as if they were a different creature entirely – they might go all the way. They might be the creature that – though a peasant themselves – the peasantry themselves kneel to. They might go further, and make the soldiery kneel, and then even the nobles after them. And a special class, beyond all others, might go even further still, and snatch a crown the head of a king, on a flurry of brilliant victories, on a story so overwhelming it almost might have seemed preordained. It is those men that we ought to fear, and it those men that we will eternally be at the mercy of. It is those men that we do the honour of addressing as our kings, and our emperors.

Going Back In Time

Well, if someone told me reincarnation was real, I would laugh in their face. I would have said, Reincarnation are all dreams of losers, me included, who are not content with their life and want to escape reality. Many people would be happy to travel back in time, but I wasn't. Why reincarnate in this world of suffering when you are already dead? I've read a lot of novels about people reincarnating and being extremely happy, saying "Since I'm back from the future, I'm determined to make a difference in this world". That's some funny stuff they always say. But if they really came from the future, they would know there's no use trying to change the world because it will be the same as before! Let me tell you something: reality is different from fantasy. What people fail to realize is that, when you reincarnate into the past it will be difficult to make a difference in this world. If you are not extremely lucky, what you can achieve is changing your life course from before reincarnation. Let me give you an example if you still don't get it Let's say an average person who struggles every day to get something to eat and doesn't involve himself in the world too much. For example, reading the news, checking forex, and trading. How can a person like this make a difference at the world level? Their only responsibility is not to repeat the same mistakes they made before reincarnation. Ace Raynott, who reincarnated into the past by chance, faces questions about how he can change things when he knows nothing about this world except that he has to survive...

Armed with her advanced medical knowledge, she embarks on an adventurous journey in this unfamiliar era. Upon awakening in an ancient room, Lin Yue is discovered by Li Yi, a wise and kind-hearted Tang Dynasty prince. Suspicious of her strange behavior, Li Yi interrogates her. As Lin Yue adapts to life in the Tang Dynasty, she and Li Yi grow closer, exchanging knowledge: she teaches him modern medicine, while he instructs her in Tang customs. Their bond deepens during a perilous outing when Li Yi is injured protecting her, and Lin Yue saves his life with her medical skills. Lin Yue befriends Su Yao, a gentle and graceful woman who later becomes entangled in a court conspiracy. To rescue Su Yao, Lin Yue and Li Yi navigate dangers, relying on modern medicine to overcome crises. However, Lin Yue’s unconventional identity sparks suspicion and jealousy, leading to a plot against her. Li Yi defies the royal family to protect her, but Lin Yue is falsely accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death. In a desperate rescue attempt, Li Yi nearly sacrifices himself, but Lin Yue accidentally activates the time-travel mechanism and returns to the modern world. Back home, she is haunted by memories of Li Yi—their shared struggles, tender moments, and unbreakable bond. Fate intervenes when Lin Yue triggers the time-travel device again, reuniting her with Li Yi in the Tang Dynasty. Having endured life-and-death trials, they vow to stay together forever. Lin Yue continues to weave her modern medical legacy into the fabric of Tang history, while their love story becomes an enduring legend of courage and devotion across time. --- This translation preserves the key plot points, character dynamics, and emotional arcs while adapting the cultural nuances for an English-speaking audience.
