By the time the surgery was over, it was already evening time and fortunately it was a success .
Alice was really glad to hear that as she didn't want a patient to die and ruin the clean reputation of the hospital and also apart from the fact that she really didn't want a patient dying .
As it was already evening and her shift was over Alice started packing up her few things to leave when…..
"Alice"
Turning to check who called her she saw it was the assistant head nurse Mrs Elena Coates.
"Yes?" She answered, wondering why Elena had come to meet her .
"I am so glad I could catch up with you before you left" Elena said as she tried to catch her breath from all the running she had done just to find Alice."I am so sorry disturb you but could you do a night shift ?" She asked.
"A night shift?…but why ?" Alice asked in confusion.
"I am sure you witnessed what happened today and the whole stress with the new patient, it turns out that it was lance cooper who was admitted and—
"Wait a minute lance cooper ?,as in the LANCE COOPER . Are you serious ?, you've got to be kidding me nobody has ever seen his face how are you sure it's him?" Alice cut in as she shouted in disbelief bombarding Elena with various questions.
The CEO of cooper.N 'Lance cooper', who didn't know him. He was a very famous businessman literally everyone in the country worked for him . Though nobody has ever seen his face because he had always remained anonymous his name was very well known . He was a young self made billionaire who owned the largest group in the country . To summarize it he was very rich .
Blood drained from Elena's face as she had just made a grave mistake by telling Alice that little piece of information . Quickly looking around to make sure no one was close enough to have heard it ,she quickly walked towards Alice and used her palm to cover her mouth to stop her from talking further.
With her palm still covering Alice's mouth she spoke
"Look Alice I wasn't supposed to tell you that but if you promise to be quiet I will answer your questions "
"I promise" Alice managed to force out through the palm over her mouth.
When Elena confirmed Alice wasn't going to shout it out anymore she slowly slid her palm away from her mouth .
Taking a deep breath Elena started to answer Alice's questions.
"Yes what you said was right nobody has actually seen his face but he has a couple of people close to him like, his right hand man .I don't know if you remember those group of men that came in earlier especially ,the one with the glasses "
Alice nodded her head as she remembered Mr. Fifth.
Elena receiving the confirmation she needed continued
"He is Mr lance's right hand man "
"No wonder he looked so rich "Alice muttered
Elena just rolled her eyes at the intrusion and continued .
"Now as you already know he doesn't go around saying lance is his boss but ,seeing as this was a hospital and he was our patient he had to open up because we were going to find out one way or another "
"That makes so much sense " Alice said in understanding
" Now remember Alice you must tell no one . This information is highly confidential even I was not supposed to know about it I only happened to passing by when he was telling the head nurse ".Hearing this statement Alice gave her a knowing smile because she knew Elena was eavesdropping not just passing by .
Ignoring Alice's obvious taunt Elena spoke.
"Alice you have to take this seriously if a word about this gets out we are going to jail for sure. Nobody else knows about this only you ,l and the head nurse so if something goes wrong we are all going to take the fall"
"I promise I won't tell anyone "Alice said with all seriousness ,while still not being able to believe that such a big shot was in their hospital.
'I guess Dana was right ' she thought.
Elena gave her an approving look as she asked
"So are you going to do it?"
"Do what ?" She replied .
