Alice stood in front of Lance's hospital room ,feeling a little nervous to open the door . She knew he wouldn't be awake but ,that thought didn't help to calm her nerves at all . She couldn't blame herself for feeling nervous . She was sure anyone who was meeting a rich famous person for the first time ,would be just as nervous as her-Even if the said person was asleep.
'God ….how did I even get here?'she thought.
After Alice's call with Iris had ended she went to find Alissa so that they could start their check up routine on the patients to make sure they were okay and didn't need anything .
As the hospital was a small one it was very easy for Alice and Alissa to handle all the patients.
To make the work go faster, Alice and Alissa had divided the number of rooms into two ,each person taking a certain number. While Alissa had been assigned to the left side of the hospital Alice had gone right and after long hours of checking all the other patients in her side it was Lance's turn .

Still standing in front of Lance's room ,she moved her hand towards the door nub to open the door when ,she felt someone tap her on her shoulders . Turning back she saw it was Mr.Fifth.
Seeing Mr.fifth Alice was shocked because ,when she was doing her rounds ,she had not seen any guest or nurses around so,she thought they had all left because visiting hours was already over .
Seeing as he was taking his sweet time to say what he wanted to say she took the initiative to speak first.
"I'm sorry sir, but if you want to see the patient ,you have to come back tomorrow as visiting hours is long over and moreover the patient isn't even awake"
"I know, but that's not why I'm here . I want to tell you to notify me as soon as he is awake. "
Alice felt like she couldn't breathe as she heard his deep enchanting voice,it has a tinge of British accent in it .it was so melodic to her ears . She just had to here it again so ,she asked
"What name should I tell him?"
Looking at her amusingly ,like he knew why she asked him the question he answered
"Devon"
"Okay Devon " Alice said more to herself than to him . Looking back up at him she said "I will once he wakes up but ,as the visiting hours are over I'm sorry but I'm going to have ask you to leave "
Devon only shook his head as he answered
"No, I want to be here when he wakes up"
Alice looked at him like he had lost his mind . Did he expect Lance to wake up today ?, that's just ridiculous she thought.
"I am sorry but ,I don't think he will wake up this night . I mean he just went through critical surgery it takes at least a week for a normal person to wake up "
Hearing Alice say this ,Devon just gave her a light smirk as he answered
"Don't worry about that ,he isn't a normal person he will wake up this night . Trust me "
And after saying that he just walked away to go seat where he sat earlier and went back to scrolling through his phone.
Alice just stood there dumbfounded as she didn't understand anything he just said but, shrugging it off she opened the door and went into the room.

Immediately she closed the door behind her she ran towards the bed forgetting all her past nervousness as she wanted to see the infamous Lance cooper's face.
Upon reaching the bed she froze.
"So this is Lance cooper?"she muttered "fuck".
