The steady sound of Ethan's private jet created the background noise as Nora looked out the window at the clouds.
The trip to New York had been very intense, filled with different meetings for the East Coast expansion.
Now, on their flight back to the city, Ethan and Nora sat opposite from each other in the very spacious cabin, papers was scattered between them.
Ethan closed the file he had been checking and resting back in his seat, loosening his tie.
"That went better than I expected," he said, his tone was more lighter than usual.
"The investors seemed very much receptive. It was a very strong pitch." Nora said, still going through the notes she had taken.
"That is because you organized everything, Your work speaks for itself, Nora." Ethan said, surprising her.
"Thank you. That means a lot." She said and did not expect the compliment.
"Don't let it go to your head." Ethan said as his lips formed into a faint smile.
