Nora moved but said nothing, knowing that Lila had the upper hand.
"Good, Now, let's get to business. I need details about Ethan's upcoming deals, projects, partnerships and anything he is planning that could really give me a leverage." Lila said, her smile was returning.
"I can't do that," Nora said quickly, shaking her head.
"You can, and you will, unless, of course, you want Ethan to find out what you have been up to. How do you think he would react if he knew about your little investigation into his family's dirty laundry?" Lila countered, her voice was very cold.
"He would not understand," she admitted quietly as her stomach turned.
"No, he wouldn't but I understand, Nora. I know what it is like to want the truth, to need justice. I'm trying to help you." Lila said, her tone was softening slightly.
