The man in the white coat slowly stepped toward Shark, his voice laced with feigned calm.
"Look, we won't harm you," he said, raising his hands in a placating gesture.
"If you want, we can even release your people. All you have to do is come with me to headquarters."
Shark dangled his legs over the edge of the truck and sat down, as if agreeing to the man's proposal.
Seeing this, a smug grin spread across the man's face. To him, it appeared he had successfully ensnared the king of the Skinwalkers in his trap.
But in reality, it was he who had walked straight into Shark's trap.
A short while later, when the chopper arrived, all it found near the truck were the lifeless bodies of the two soldiers.
Beyond that, there was nothing—no man in a white coat, no Shark, and no trace of the skinwalker.
