Adventure is always calling even it the most distant of lands and now we see the another journey unfold in the World of Pokémon.

A young boy who's about to go on vacation is about to embark on a journey that he wont soon forget.

A little room brimming with Pokémon memorabilia, ranging from figurines to a personalized alarm clock, is where our tale begins. As the sun shines into his chamber, we notice a young man still fast asleep. As a blue-looking mouse appears, rather irritated as it approaches the young man. When it notices that the boy is still asleep, it sprays water all over the young man's face, causing him to recoil like a cat.He wakes up, glancing about his room in a little panic, and sees the mouse staring at him with a judgmental expression on his face. "Oh, hey, Marill, I'm guessing I overslept again?" he asks as he stands up. The mouse takes hold of the boy's clock and nods. As he looks at the time, he sees that it is approximately ten in the morning.

He recognizes his predicament and exclaims, "Crap!" to himself. "I have to get ready or my mom will kill me; I didn't think I would have overslept." He then rushes through his morning routine, trying to save time by taking a shower and brushing his teeth at the same time, but failing miserably at both. As he exits the shower, he does his hardest to dry himself as quickly as possible. He sprints back to his room, puts on the nearest pair of clothes he can find-a white t-shirt and some ripped jeans-and dashes downstairs to the living room, exclaiming, "I MADE IT, I'M HERE!!!"As soon as he comes down the stairs, he realizes that his parents are finished eating their breakfast while a larger Pokémon is essentially removing the meal from the table in order to start cleaning them. His breakfast plate is still there as he rushes to the dinner table, hoping he can still eat his breakfast. Stopping the Pokémon, he says, "Hold on, Machoke, I still want to eat my food. I woke up late, but I don't mind eating it cold." As he stops the larger Pokémon from taking the plate. The young boy sits and begins to eat his cold breakfast; the Pokémon simply sighs, seemingly accustomed to this routine.His mother interrupts him as he tries to finish his meal, asking, "Clyde Beech, how long were you up last night?" After a brief pause, Clyde says with a bit of hesitation, "Oh, I fell asleep around nine thirty." Clyde's mother pulls and pinches his cheek and says, "Oh, really, is that so? Well, young man, someone who went to be around nine, why did Marill tell me you were still asleep? It's ten in the morning! Do you even remember where we're going today?!?!" Clyde's mother pulled on her son's cheek harder, the young boy pain, and he said, "Ow ow ow ow, I didn't forget mom, I didn't; we were going on vacation to the Kanto region."She lets go of the boy's cheek as he winces, rubbing his cheek in pain, and says, "At least you didn't forget. I assume you have your stuff packed, right, young man?" Clyde, knowing that he has made a mistake, is afraid of his mom ripping his head off as he responds to her, "You see... I." As his father chimes in and says, "Oh, good job. Clyde Machoke just told me it saw you pack all your stuff last night. Once him and I are done with the dishes, he's going to carry your stuff into the car."

Clyde looks to his father in a bit of confusion; he doesn't remember doing any packing. His mother looks to him with a bit of relief in her voice and says, "Thank goodness." As she begins to walk upstairs, looking back down to her husband, she says, "Alright, I'm going to go back up the stairs and double check my room. Im making sure we're not missing anything." Her husband just nods and says, "Alright, dear."The man looks back at his son after hearing his wife climb all the stairs and remarks, "You know, kid, she would have really been upset if I didn't have Machoke help me pack your stuff last night." The boy lets out a soft sigh and says, "Thank you, Dad." As he turns to face him, his father simply says, "Of course, my boy, but know that if something like this happens again, we're talking away, that Gameboy of yours. Know when to limit yourself." Clyde simply sighed, knowing that his father was correct, but he couldn't help it because he was enjoying himself so much while playing some of his old favorite games, so it was at least partially worth it.After a few minutes, the Beech family has finished their preparations for their trip. The family gets into their vehicle and drives off. "You excited, Clyde?" His mother is turning to him. We are going on a family vacation. I know that work can occasionally be a bit of a pain and get in the way of us having moments like this, but..." "Oh, I told you already, mom, it's okay. I understand that you guys are busy, and I do like the alone time," Clyde says, briefly interrupting his mother. His mother, a bit concerned hearing that from her son, says, "Clyde, a child your age staying inside their room is not healthy. This is one of the reasons I wanted us to go on this trip. I think you'll benefit from this trip away from the Orre region."As he leaves his hometown of Pyrite City and wonders what life will be like in this new area, Clyde simply gazes out the window at the sandy desert that is his home region. All he wants is for this summer to pass quickly so he can return to the comfort and safety of his room.
