Ester going through her belongings, tossing items left and right, until she comes across a crystal ball. The item she was looking for was now in her grasp. After she's finished cleaning up, she tells Talia, "I can use this to tell people what their future holds." "So you learned from a friend in Kanto how to see people's futures through a regular glass orb?" Talia questions how Ester would be able to see the future of others. "She taught me a little bit about being a psychic, but I'm not perfect at it; that's why," Ester says, turning to face her. She releases a Pokémon inside the tent after taking out a Poké Ball.
The Pokémon was green and resembled a condor. Its large, white wings covered much of its front and had red and black tips. Its wings have patterns underneath them that look like red eyes. In addition to its primary green hue, its design features red, yellow, and black accents, with an additional set of yellow stripes seen on it. Getting out of its ball, the Pokémon let out a worn-out cry as if it just woke up.
Talia identifies the Pokémon right away. "Wow! Ester, you got your hands on a
Sadly, though Xatu doesn't listen to me in battle, to be fair, that's not exactly what we agreed on," says Ester. Xatu agreed there wouldn't be any issues between us as long as I fed him. "Isn't that right, Xatu?" The Pokémon simply stared at the two girls, without saying anything, making the silence in the room kind of awkward."
Yeah, sorry about that; this Xatu is of a more quiet
As the orb begins to glow with a green hue, Ester sits down in a chair as she begins to focus, closing her eyes as her hands begin to glow with the same hue Xatu passes onto the orb. Ester then speaks to her friend: Now, Tali, tell me, what is something that you would like to know? Whose future would you like to see? Talia was going to ask Ester about herself when she briefly considered another question: "Can you show me what my son's future would be like? Well, Clyde is a bit of a shut-in, Anthony and I are hoping we can help our kid get over that. Could you tell what he'll be up to in the future?
Ester tells her friend, "Then stare at the orb and see what your son's future holds." Staring into the orb, Talia sees a silhouette of her son shrouded in darkness. Unknown locations flash by, however, more quickly than she can process them. Before she can see anything else, the orb reverts to its normal state, but not before she spots something in the darkness: an unidentified creature holding her son's silhouette in its palm. "So what did you think, Tali?" asks Ester, who appears a little worn out as she turns to face Talia and grabs a towel to wipe the sweat from her face.
Still a little taken aback by what she had seen, Talia adds, "I... I... I don't know." Things were moving too quickly, but I did see my son. He showed up in so many locations, but I was unable to see him for very long. Everything happened so quickly. Ester responds, "I apologize for that. I just need more practice; I still have a lot to learn about this fortune-telling mumbo jumbo. "I saw something a bit odd, some weird monster staring at my son... and it looks somewhat familiar, but I... never saw anything like it," Talia explains, still reflecting on what she saw in the orb.
Ester responds, "Hey, Tali, try not to think too hard on it," feeling a little awful about how her future sight screwed with Talia. Remember, I'm not perfect at it." Who knows if my fortune reading will be relevant today or in the future?" An idea came to Ester as she said to Talia, "How about we do something to take your mind off it? Let's have a nostalgic old Pokémon battle like we did when we were kids." Talia, hearing this, looks to Ester and says, "No, I shouldn't. It's been so long now; I don't think I'm as talented as I used to be." Ester, reassuring her friend, says, "Oh really? The semifinalist in the Indigo League says she's not talented enough. Come on, Tali, let's just have some fun again like we used to." Ester reaches into her pocket and pulls out a Pokéball.
Looking back at her friend, Talia simply smiles and replies, "Alright, Ester, one battle wouldn't hurt." Ester exclaims, "Awesomeee!" in joy at her friend's acceptance. Let's go to the main hall since nobody is using the fighting ring there at the moment. She yells as she dashes outdoors, "Come out, Espeon, let's do this." The cat that was spending time with Talia, Marill, stepped out of the tent." Marill looks back to Talia, looking to her for what she wants to do." As they exit the tent and make their way to the main hall, Talia pick up and hugs her blue mouse heading to the arena.
