Fury Unleashed
The air was heavy with tension as soldiers stood in formation, their weapons aimed squarely in Adam's direction.
The captain's voice pierced through the tense atmosphere, "Does anyone have a report on the subject's condition?"
A soldier stepped forward, his voice steady but uncertain. "No signs of the subject yet, sir. We're still searching."
The captain nodded grimly. "All units, keep your weapons ready."
---
The scene shifted to the cockpit of an aircraft. The radio crackled as Wing Commander John reported, "This is Wing Commander John from air support. Status report on the target, please."
The captain responded with a tinge of frustration, "We haven't found the subject yet. The search is ongoing, but—"
Suddenly, a massive pressure filled the air, making every soldier's breath hitch.
The surrounding atmosphere grew unnaturally dense, the kind of pressure that made even seasoned warriors falter.
The source was unclear, but every person present could feel its oppressive weight.
---
Beneath a massive pile of rubble, Adam lay trapped. The collapse of an entire building had left him buried under its roof and debris.
Despite the weight, Adam's hands pressed firmly against the remnants of the roof above him, preventing it from crushing him completely.
His face bore scratches, but his hands had shielded him from greater harm.
Adam's rage simmered beneath the surface, feeding the pressure that radiated around him. Slowly but surely, the intensity grew.
The debris began to crack and shift, unable to withstand the force emanating from within.
Cement and bricks splintered, groaning under the strain of Adam's escalating anger.
As he opened his eyes, a crimson glint flashed in them. With a guttural roar, Adam pushed upward, his hands thrusting the wreckage away with a violent force.
Debris flew in every direction, scattering like leaves in a storm.
Chunks of concrete rained down, some smashing into nearby buildings and others narrowly missing the soldiers.
The soldiers recoiled in shock, their initial composure shattered. The captain's voice barked through the chaos, "All units, target has been located! Open fire!"
Bullets sprayed toward Adam, but he stood unfazed, his eyes burning with fury.
The soldiers closest to him began retreating, unable to withstand the crushing aura that surrounded him.
The air pressure near Adam was suffocating, a near-tangible force that drove fear into the hearts of even the bravest men.
---
As the bullets closed in on him, they stopped mid-air, colliding with an invisible barrier before clattering to the ground.
The sheer density of the pressure around Adam had created a protective shield, one born of his unbridled rage.
"What... what is happening?" the captain muttered, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Using his thermal vision goggles, he scanned Adam and saw an overwhelming heat signature radiating from his body.
"It's like... he's a walking nuclear reactor," the captain whispered. "All units, fall back! Retreat to a safe distance!"
The soldiers closest to Adam hesitated for a moment before breaking formation, scrambling to escape the suffocating pressure.
From a distance, others continued firing, but Adam had had enough.
---
Adam drew his hands back and slammed them together in front of him with a deafening clap.
The resulting shockwave rippled outward, tearing through everything in its path.
Soldiers were flung through the air like ragdolls, buildings crumbled under the impact, and the very ground seemed to tremble.
Those closest to Adam stood no chance. Their bodies were torn apart by the sheer force, their forms unable to withstand the overwhelming pressure.
Even soldiers farther away were thrown violently, crashing into walls and debris.
---
The chaos was palpable. Soldiers froze, their fingers slipping off their triggers as terror gripped them.
Even the crews inside the tanks hesitated, their fear reflected in their wide-eyed gazes.
"Fire the tanks!" the captain screamed, snapping them out of their stupor.
The tanks unleashed their payload, but Adam wasn't waiting this time. In an instant, he vanished from his position, reappearing mid-air above a tank.
His fist, glowing with energy, didn't even touch the tank directly.
The sheer force of his strike compressed the air, slamming the tank into the ground with such intensity that its metal frame warped and splintered.
Adam turned to the next tank. Grabbing its barrel with one hand, he twisted it effortlessly, bending it like a piece of soft wire.
With a quick motion, he slammed the tank into the ground, flipping it onto its roof. A massive explosion followed, lighting up the battlefield.
Amid the chaos, a female soldier near one of the tanks raised her machine gun. Her hands trembled as she aimed at Adam, her voice shaky as she whispered, "Please... don't..."
Before she could fire, Adam disappeared and reappeared inches from her. She gasped, the realization dawning too late.
Adam placed a hand on her head, his face devoid of emotion. "You brought this upon yourselves," he muttered coldly. With a quick motion, he crushed her skull. Blood splattered across his hand, dripping down onto the shattered ground.

Inside the command center, General Core listened to the captain's panicked voice over the radio.
"General, we can't contain him! We're taking massive casualties—this is a massacre! We need reinforcements immediately!"
Core's face was pale, beads of sweat trailing down his temple. He turned to his assistant, Neel, a composed and intelligent woman with striking features.
"General, most of our forces are stationed at the border," Neel said. "We don't have reinforcements to send. What do we do?"
Core clenched his fists. "There's only one option left... We sacrifice everyone on-site."
Neel's eyes widened. "You're not seriously considering using *that*, are you?"
Core's expression hardened. "We have no choice."
---
Back on the battlefield, Adam's rage began to subside, the red in his eyes fading slightly. His voice, however, boomed across the ruins, resonating with unrelenting fury.
"I tried to avoid this," he said, his tone filled with bitterness and regret. "I didn't want to kill anyone. But you left me no choice. All of this... all of this bloodshed is on your hands!"
His words echoed, reaching the ears of every soldier. They exchanged fearful glances, unsure whether to retreat or continue fighting.
Just then, Adam's gaze shifted skyward. A familiar, menacing presence loomed above.
Twelve shimmering figures descended, their silhouettes glowing against the stormy clouds.
Adam's expression hardened as he muttered under his breath, "So, you've come again."
The chapter ends with Adam standing tall amidst the rubble, staring defiantly at the figures in the sky. The battle was far from over.
