The tension in the steel-clad prison room was palpable.
This was no ordinary detention cell—it was a fortress of metal designed to hold even the most dangerous of beings.
Outside the room, rows of computers flickered as soldiers monitored every corner of the facility.
The air was thick with anticipation, but nothing could have prepared them for what was to come.
Inside, Adam sat bound to a chair, heavy steel chains wrapping around his neck and limbs.
His fists clenched, his teeth grinding as the fury within him surged.
His breathing grew heavier, each exhale like the hiss of an impending storm.
"I need food!" Adam's voice erupted like thunder, reverberating through the walls.
The force of his shout sent a wave of pressure outward, shaking the very foundation of the prison.
Cracks appeared on the steel walls, jagged and deep, spreading like lightning across the surface.
Outside, chaos erupted. Soldiers stationed near the room collapsed one by one, their bodies unable to withstand the invisible force emanating from Adam's fury.
The computers in the monitoring area sparked and shattered, screens going black as the pressure wave tore through the base.

In a distant meeting room, General Core felt the tremors. Sitting across from him, Neel, an intelligent and sharp-featured woman, raised her eyebrows in alarm.
Core shot to his feet, his face pale. "No... I forgot who I'm dealing with," he muttered under his breath. "This isn't an ordinary man. He's a super soldier." Hastily, he straightened his uniform, his mind racing.
Neel rose as well, her expression a mix of concern and curiosity. "Should I come with you?" she asked.
Core shook his head firmly. "No. Stay here. This is too dangerous."
Neel hesitated but nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.
Core rushed out of the room, his heart pounding as he made his way to the building where Adam was held.
The sight that greeted him was nothing short of catastrophic. Cracks spider-webbed across the building's exterior.
The pressure that had seeped through the cracks had rendered the soldiers outside unconscious.
Inside, it was worse. Computers lay in ruins, their screens shattered and circuits fried. The air reeked of burnt wires and metallic tang. Core's jaw tightened as he surveyed the destruction.
"Has he escaped?" Core whispered, panic flickering in his eyes.
Gathering himself, he signaled the remaining conscious soldiers to follow him. Armed with guns, they cautiously approached the thick steel door.
Outside, tanks were already stationed, prepared for the worst.
---
Inside the room, Adam's rage simmered down as quickly as it had erupted.
The pressure in the air lifted, leaving a stillness in its wake.
As his anger subsided, Adam's sharp gaze swept the room.
The steel walls, once an impenetrable barrier, now bore gaping cracks and holes, revealing glimpses of the outside world.
His lips curved into a wry smile. "I did all this... without even touching anything," he murmured, his voice tinged with surprise and a hint of pride.
Just then, the steel door groaned and creaked open. Core entered, flanked by heavily armed soldiers.
His eyes scanned the room, taking in the unconscious personnel and the destruction.
Adam's gaze locked onto Core. "I told you... I need food." His voice was calm, but his eyes burned with intensity.
Core exhaled, a small, strained smile appearing on his face. "We're bringing it. You just needed to wait a little longer."
Adam didn't respond. He simply stared at Core, his expression unreadable.
---
Moments later, a young female soldier entered the room, a tray of food in her trembling hands.
She had jet-black hair tied neatly at the back and a youthful, almost delicate appearance.
Her wide eyes darted nervously between Adam and Core as she approached a wooden table in the corner.
The table, however, was barely standing, one of its legs fractured from the earlier pressure wave.
Seeing this, the soldier hesitated. She glanced at Core, who nodded in approval.
Taking a deep breath, she clutched the tray and walked directly to Adam. Her hands shook as she held the tray out to him, avoiding his intense gaze.
Adam's lips twitched into a faint smile. "Are you the one who's going to feed me?" he asked, his voice soft but teasing.
The soldier flinched but managed to stammer, "Y-yes, sir." Her voice quivered, but she didn't back away.
Adam chuckled lightly, a rare moment of levity breaking through his otherwise stoic demeanor. "Alright, then," he said, his tone gentler.
The young woman began feeding him, carefully lifting a spoon to his lips. Adam ate slowly, his gaze occasionally flickering to her face.
He was oddly embarrassed—this was the first time in his life a woman had fed him. The chains binding his neck and arms made the situation even more surreal.
Core stood silently in the background, observing the scene with an inscrutable expression.
When the meal was finished, Adam leaned back as much as his restraints allowed. He looked at Core, his voice steady.
"When are you going to let me go? I've done everything you asked, yet I'm still here. At least free my hands."
Core hesitated, his expression thoughtful. Finally, he sighed. "Wait until tonight. By evening, I'll make sure you're... free."
Adam's eyes narrowed. "I thought you were my father's friend. I didn't expect you to be like the others who've kept me locked up."
Core's face twisted slightly, a mixture of frustration and guilt. "Listen to me, kid," he said, his voice firm but not unkind. "My hands are tied. I'm fighting for you here, more than you know."
Adam studied him for a long moment before nodding. "Fine. I'll wait until tonight."
---
Core turned and left the room, the young soldier following close behind.
Adam remained seated, bound by the heavy chains that would have crushed an ordinary man.
To him, they felt no more restrictive than a rope. He knew he could snap them if he wanted to, but curiosity held him back.
"What are they planning for me?" he wondered aloud, his mind racing with possibilities. "I might as well see what kind of surprise they've prepared."
Leaning his head back against the chair, Adam exhaled deeply.
For the first time in days, a wave of exhaustion washed over him. His body, despite its superhuman strength, craved rest.
"Maybe I'll take a nap," he muttered, closing his eyes. His head tilted slightly to the side, and within moments, he drifted into a light, uneasy sleep, the cold steel of his chains glinting faintly in the dim light of the ruined room.
And so, the chapter ended, with Adam caught between confinement and the promise of freedom, his future hanging by a thread.
