Chapter 12 - Meeting Moony

Sirius POV

The next morning came all to soon, Cinthy came rushing into my room and woke me up by pouncing on me while giggling claiming her Daddy made her do it. I laughed so hard at that comment knowing how happy James was at being called Daddy. I guess I'm dad and he is daddy, I shrugged internally and tickled my daughter until she was ready to go get dressed. I will never get tired of calling her my daughter. I looked to the portrait on the wall and saw James looking at us with a smile on his face and just knew he felt the same as me. "Ok, time to get dressed we have a werewolf to meet." James nodded and left to find Lily while I dressed for the day.

It wasn't long before the set time for Remus to get here approached. Cinthy and I made our way into the guest drawing room towards the front of the house to meet with Remus. A confused disheveled Remus landed on the floor. He jumped up wand in hand until he saw me. His eyes widened and he started to cry, 'apparently he had seen the newspapers' I thought. He rushed me his wand forgotten on the floor where he had dropped it and he hugged me almost crushing me with a strength I didn't even know he had. Sighing I patted his back to calm him down, his grip loosened and his tears slowed when he said, "Your here I have been looking for you since I saw the news yesterday. How are you? What can I do to help? Please talk to me Padfoot I've been so lost without you guys, I'm sorry that I thought you killed Peter. Dumbledore told me what happened that night after I got back from talking to the werewolf packs and I almost lost my mind in the grief of losing all of you."

I smiled at my worse for wear brother in all but blood and said, "I am fine I have been handling paperwork at Gringotts and getting Cinthy away from the filthy muggles that she was with." Remus frowned at the comment and said, "What do you mean filthy muggles Dumbledore said she was safe and cared for. Why would you call them Filthy muggles if they loved and cared for her Sirius." He sounded indignant and I sighed, patted his shoulder and said, "Dumbledore lied to you Moony, he placed Cinthy with Lily's hateful sister Petunia and her whale of a husband Vernon Dursley. You remember how much Lily would cry after visiting Petunia well Cinthy had to grow up under the 'care' of those muggles." I said the last part with derision but continued, "She was starved, beaten, and mentally abused. Amelia Bones and the Goblins worked to get me out of Azkaban because I am the only one who had claim on Hyacinth to get her away from Dumbledore's clutches. He left her there, never checked on her while she was younger and knew of the abuse from what Cinthy has told me. She told him before she was sent back this summer and according to the goblins Dumbledore has been trying to access the Potter vault since he claimed guardianship of her. This was after I was sent to Azkaban with no trial and he had James and Lily's will sealed."

Moony was trembling with rage, I haven't seen rage like this from him since he learned that the moldy ass of a dark lord was after Cinthy due to some half cocked prophecy. It is glorious and terrifying when Remus gets mad I'm bad enough but when we are together I wish Dumblebum good luck in trying to sink his teeth in our Cinthy again.

Cinthy stepped out from behind me and said, "Uncle Moony." This stopped Remus dead in his tracks as he looked at her. He scooped her up in his arms and said, "Cub your safe now. I won't let anyone harm you. Padfoot and I will make sure of that, I promise you cub. Your safe we all will be safe." He looked at me in the eyes and I knew what he was thinking, we would talk more about everything that happened later. As for right now it was family time with Cinthy. I lunged at them both knocking us all to the floor as I hugged my family tightly while laughing as they both groaned. Remus never let Cinthy go protecting her from the fall I had caused when he said, "Really Pads what would you have done if Cinthy had been hurt by your antics." Cinthy laughed and it was the sweetest sound I have ever heard before she said, "Yeah Dad you should listen to Uncle Moony more." With that my jaw dropped I quickly went to tickle the daylights out of her while saying, "Oh the betrayal, by my own daughter no less." This caused a new round of giggles from Cinthy and a loud laugh from Remus as he joined in on my tickle torture of our favorite girl.

Gasping for air Cinthy finally managed to say, "Alright, alright I get it no siding with Moony." I stopped tickling her, not mentioning her crossed fingers hidden behind her back that Remus had seen as well. We smiled at each other and sat down to catch up on what Remus had been up to after James and Lily's deaths.
