Initially, Remo would like to open up some truth about his personality to Mayi.
But he completely rejected the idea since the moment she would become aware, there would be more serious inquiries along the way.
In the eyes of these people who are living with an ordinary life, they will never understand the potential power of the human body.
On the way back, Remo casually asked Mayi what's going on in her private life.
"Did you have a serious relationship to a man?" he asked.
She blushed for a moment. It took her some time before summoning her courage to answer back.
"Yes. I have someone before at the university." she honestly answered.
"In the beginning, we were just friends. We get along well like a brother who liked to listen to my nonsense antics. Eventually, I decided to accept his proposal. But we broke up when I came apply in your office for my job." She said continued with a sad face.
Remo took out his eyes on the road and briefly looked the side profile of Mayi.
Even with sadness, he could still see a very pretty face. She was putting a braver face.
"Eventually we got separated!"
A minute of silence followed…
"How about you?" she returned the question.
"Hmmm…well."…
Remo paused with his breathing like it was obstructed with a lack of air.
"I had a fling during my teens. It was brief since I could not keep up the friendship. We got separated when she continued her studies in the States. I enrolled my University in Manila."
Remo put his eyes back on Mayi then on the road again.
"I was emotionally inclined make a tougher decision to work abroad in fulfilling my responsibility as the head of the family."
Mayi was surprised upon hearing his words.
"Your father died early?"
"No... no..." Remo shakes his head. "I was born without knowing who my father was."
Mayi was speechless. The eerie silence was so demeaning.
"I'm so sorry. I did not mean to hurt your feelings… My bad. Hehe!"
The two of them fell silent again for a few minutes.
With intervening time and space, the atmosphere between them became a little bit awkward.
This made Mayi's heart tightened up and obediently went closer to him.
"You alright?" Mayi smirk with a little laughter to ease the tension.
"Frankly speaking, you are a very good-looking man. You must have inherited your father good looks, huh?"
She glanced Remo seriously when he does not say a word.
"No wonder the opposite sex always looked at you with passion. I bet they could not sleep well at night when you do not keep your relationship with them! Truth be told, any woman will always judge you because they knew you easily could get a replacement. Good looking guys are always like that!"
Remo was dismayed. He turned sideways and looked at her intently.
"We are always like that?... Hey, it's not lovely to hear that, you know. I'm just one of a billion man out there who also wishes to capture a woman's heart. Who the hell would not like to have that?"
"I know…I know…. of course, it's up to the girl if she would do that for you." she laughs heartily.
Leaning sideways as if to share a secret, Mayi gave a bitter smile.
"You know, I had a frustrating relationship in the University. Before I came to work here, it was incredibly stressful. We gave out each other very easily." she spoke seriously fidgeting her phone again.
But thinking the way things are going on between them, Mayi basically no longer was worried.
Knowing today's event at the restaurant when he put his life on the line was a "fact-check!"
Remo cared a lot on her well-being!
At this time, she has to wait for him not knowing when he would finally take his initiative.
"You still love him?" Remo suddenly asked.
Thinking what to say, Mayi kept her silence clutching both of her hands.
She shrugged absentmindedly.

She did not attempt to resist at all appreciating his full kisses.
Shutting her eyes even more, an electric impulse bounces between her brain, tongue, and skin leading to a feeling of being on a natural high.
It was like a potent chemical compound as their saliva were mixing together like a drug causing the other person to crave insanity.
But suddenly Mayi realized the embarrassing moment of her behavior.
She pulled away like a self-assured grown-up woman.
"I wouldn't call you as my boyfriend but you're kissing me already! " she complained.
Cutting off quickly while stepping away, she run towards her bunk below the expatriates' cabins.
Remo was left amused from the rapid development.

Putting the key on his lock, he slips his eyes on Peter's cabin to see if they were being watched.
Not any suspicious soul was seen.
The birds may have been asleep during that night, but the rustling leaves continued to sing their melody, cackling like a distant whisper.
