I watched Animus' concern grow.
Perfect.
The Carnifex leader suspected nothing.
My true intent?

Harness Johanna's power.
Exploit the Carnifex's weakness and Claim Castrum for myself.
They do need a better leader.
Erebus, Animus' loyal advisor, approached.
"Azazela, what secrets do you hide?" he asked.
I smiled, weaving deception.
"Only seeking to aid Johanna."
Erebus' doubts lingered.
But Animus' trust remained unshaken.

Officer Thompson scrutinized the evidence.
"Bullets can't harm them," he muttered.
Chief Patel frowned.
"What are these creatures?"

"Unknown species," the report read.
Thompson's eyes narrowed.

I dismissed his concerns.
Focus on Johanna.
Eliminate the threat.
But unease spread.
