The bustling morning streets of Mondstadt were bathed in the golden glow of the early sun. It was a perfect day for something different, something relaxing, and the people of Mondstadt had no idea what Hiroshi had in store for them. Today, he had decided to host a Pokémon-themed picnic near Windrise—a place that had always been a favorite for Mondstadt residents for gatherings and celebrations. And what better way to introduce more people to Pokémon than a day filled with food, games, and laughter?
"Zekrom, do you think we'll be able to pull this off without any mishaps?" Hiroshi asked, as he packed up some crates of berries and Pokémon treats into a cart. Zekrom floated beside him, its eyes gleaming with amusement.
"Knowing Mondstadt's residents, there are bound to be some... unforeseen adventures," Zekrom replied, a hint of a smile on its normally stoic face. "But that's what makes it fun, doesn't it?"
Hiroshi couldn't help but chuckle. "Fair enough. Let's just hope Kaeya keeps Zorua in check this time. Last time, Zorua's illusions nearly made me have a heart attack." He glanced over to where Kaeya and Zorua were, the little fox Pokémon already attempting to transform into an exaggerated version of Amber—complete with her bright red bow and adventurous grin.

Windrise was already bustling by the time Hiroshi and Zekrom arrived with their cart. A big blanket had been spread out under the massive tree, and the Knights of Favonius had gathered to help set things up. Jean was organizing the setup, while Amber dashed around, helping everyone while her Swablu fluttered in circles above her, carrying small decorations.
Lumine, with Pikachu on her shoulder, was arranging a table of food, while Paimon was busy "taste-testing" every dish she could get her hands on. Pikachu occasionally zapped Paimon's hand with a small jolt whenever she got too greedy, causing Lumine to giggle.
"Paimon, you're supposed to wait until everyone's here before you start eating!" Lumine scolded lightly.
Paimon huffed, rubbing her hand where Pikachu had shocked her. "But Paimon's hungry! And besides, someone has to make sure the food is good enough for everyone else!"
Zorua, seeing Paimon's antics, transformed into a perfect copy of her and began to float around, mimicking her complaints in a high-pitched voice. "But Paimon's hungry!" Zorua-Paimon whined, making everyone burst into laughter.
Kaeya walked over, shaking his head in amusement. "Looks like Zorua has found a new favorite form. I think we're in for quite a day."
Jean, ever the responsible one, clapped her hands to gather everyone's attention. "Alright, everyone, before we start eating, I thought it would be a good idea to have some games and activities with our Pokémon. It's a great way for everyone to get to know these wonderful creatures better."
Hiroshi nodded in agreement. "That's right! We've set up a few stations for different activities. There's an agility course, a berry-tasting booth for the Pokémon, and even a small battle demonstration area for those interested."
Amber's eyes lit up with excitement. "Oh! Swablu and I have been practicing our moves. I'd love to show everyone!"
Paimon, still munching on a berry tart, floated over. "Paimon wants to see Pikachu in action! Come on, Lumine, let's go check out the battle demonstration!"
Lumine smiled, nodding. "Alright, but only a friendly battle. We don't want anyone getting hurt."
---
The agility course was the first stop for many of the attendees. Jean had decided to try it out with Litleo, and Amber was eager to give Swablu a go as well. The course consisted of small hurdles, a weaving section, and a tunnel—all set up to test the Pokémon's agility and coordination.
"Alright, Litleo, let's show them what we've got!" Jean called, her voice filled with encouragement.
Litleo, its small mane fluffing up in excitement, dashed forward, leaping over the hurdles with surprising grace. It weaved in and out of the poles, its eyes focused and determined, while Jean ran beside it, cheering it on.
"Go, Litleo!" Amber shouted, clapping her hands. Swablu chirped in support, flapping its wings excitedly.
Litleo finished the course with a triumphant roar, and the small crowd that had gathered cheered. Jean knelt down, giving Litleo a proud scratch behind the ears. "Well done, Litleo. You were amazing."
Kaeya and Zorua were next, though it was clear that Zorua was far more interested in showing off than completing the course properly. It kept transforming into different Pokémon mid-run—first Pikachu, then Swablu, and finally into a very confused-looking Litleo.
"Zorua, focus!" Kaeya called, trying to suppress his laughter.
Zorua, now back in its original form, gave Kaeya an innocent look before darting through the tunnel, its tail wagging playfully. The crowd laughed, clearly entertained by the fox's antics.

Next up was the berry-tasting booth, which was an instant hit with both the Pokémon and the trainers. A variety of berries had been laid out—Oran Berries, Pecha Berries, Sitrus Berries, and more. Each Pokémon was allowed to pick a berry to try, and their reactions were priceless.
Pikachu eagerly picked up a Sitrus Berry, nibbling on it with a contented expression. Swablu, on the other hand, went straight for a Pecha Berry, its eyes lighting up as it tasted the sweetness.
"Looks like Swablu has a sweet tooth," Amber giggled, watching her partner happily munch on the berry.
Zorua, ever the troublemaker, transformed into Pikachu before grabbing an Oran Berry, trying to mimic Pikachu's eating habits. The real Pikachu, noticing the imposter, gave Zorua a playful but stern look, causing the illusion fox to snicker and transform back.
Jean watched the scene unfold, smiling as Litleo picked out a Sitrus Berry and chewed it thoughtfully. "It's wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves like this," she said to Lumine, who was standing beside her.
Lumine nodded in agreement. "It really is. I think events like this help everyone understand Pokémon better. It's not just about battles—it's about bonding and having fun."
---
The final event of the day was the battle demonstration. A small arena had been set up, and Lumine and Amber decided to have a friendly match to show everyone how Pokémon battles worked.
"Alright, Pikachu, let's give them a good show!" Lumine called, her voice filled with determination.
"Swablu, it's our time to shine!" Amber replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
The two Pokémon faced off, both looking eager to prove themselves. Pikachu's cheeks sparked with electricity, while Swablu flapped its wings, ready to take to the skies.
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" Lumine commanded.
Pikachu dashed forward in a blur, moving at incredible speed towards Swablu. Amber was quick to react. "Swablu, dodge and use Peck!"
Swablu swiftly took to the air, narrowly avoiding Pikachu's attack before diving down, its beak glowing as it aimed for Pikachu. The crowd watched in awe as the two Pokémon exchanged moves, each displaying their unique strengths.
The battle continued for a few more exchanges, each trainer calling out commands and each Pokémon giving it their all. Eventually, Lumine called for a stop, her eyes filled with pride. "Alright, that's enough, Pikachu. You did amazing."
Amber nodded, smiling at Swablu. "You too, Swablu. That was incredible."
The crowd erupted into applause, cheering for both trainers and their Pokémon. It was clear that everyone had enjoyed the demonstration, and many people were already asking Hiroshi how they could get a Pokémon of their own.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over Windrise, the group gathered once more on the picnic blanket. They shared stories, laughter, and of course, plenty of food. Zekrom, despite its imposing presence, had even joined them, its massive form looming protectively over the group as it listened to their stories.
Paimon, now full from all the food she had eaten, floated lazily beside Lumine. "Today was so much fun… Paimon thinks we should have a picnic like this every week!"
Lumine laughed, patting Paimon on the head. "Maybe not every week, Paimon. But I agree—it was a wonderful day."
Jean looked around at everyone, her heart full. "It's days like these that remind me why I love Mondstadt so much. The people, the bonds we share… and now, the Pokémon that have become a part of our lives."
Kaeya raised a cup of dandelion wine, a smirk on his face. "To Mondstadt, to friends, and to more days like this."
"Cheers!" everyone echoed, their voices filled with joy and camaraderie.
As the evening turned to night, the group slowly began to pack up, each person saying their goodbyes and heading home with their Pokémon partners by their side. Hiroshi watched them go, a sense of fulfillment washing over him.
"Zekrom, do you think we're doing a good job?" Hiroshi asked quietly, his eyes on the retreating figures of his friends.
Zekrom looked down at him, its eyes glowing softly. "I think you're doing exactly what you were meant to do, Hiroshi. You're bringing people together, and that's the greatest power of all."
Hiroshi smiled, nodding. "Yeah… I think you're right."
And with that, he turned, ready to face whatever new adventure awaited him and the people of Teyvat—because he knew that with Pokémon by their side, there was nothing they couldn't achieve.
