"Help…"
I stayed frozen a few feet away, unsure of what to do.
"Please help…"
The word echoed softly in my mind, as clear as if someone had whispered it directly into my ear. I looked around, startled, but the others seemed focused on the Drauxie.
"Help...?" I murmured aloud, my voice trembling.
Both Nel and Casper turned to look at me, their faces etched with confusion.
"Luna... Did you just…?" Casper frowned, his bushy eyebrows rising in surprise. "You can hear the Drauxie's voice?"
"I-I think so..." I replied hesitantly. "It felt like I just heard its voice asking for help in my mind. Did you hear the same thing?"
Casper exchanged a quick glance with Nel. "Of course. Nel and I can hear it because we're Anima. Communicating with animals is natural for us. But you..."
"That's impossible for you. You're human." Nel finished Casper's sentence.
