Plow Village is my home, and I will do my best to protect it. Someday, I'll inherit it from my father. The former prince of the levitical kingdom. David El Levi.
He once used his position as the heir to the throne to combat political parties of high nobles to fight for the freedom and rights of the people of Eden. Also known as Holistics. A peaceful tribe who lost their land upon being raided. A raid led by no other than David himself.
Great guilt covered his heart as he struggled to make light of his doings. The morals of both Holistics and the kingdom came into question. Unlike his father, he wished not to continue the bloodshed of the Eden people. In so, he sought to atone for his actions and gave the people spared land he owned. The Holistics didn't trust him at first. He had to prove his way. And so he did.
Years passed after the settlement between Eden and Levi. David's father, who honored his son's path to kingship, passed away. Before rightfully assuming the thrown, his uncle laid claim to it. High nobles campaigned in support of his ruling, turning most of the public against David and the Holistics. Then after, prejudice against them gave way.
His uncle, King Spade, always saw The Holistics as mere pests in his way and gave the order to remove them from the land which he had taken from them. David, alongside his would-be wife, Susanna, and former raiding companions, gathered the folks and headed towards the furthest region from the kingdom. The Pounding Valley. All came to be and built as one, thus the founding of Plow Village.
David managed to keep things afloat for years, but what was left of his wealth could only get them so far. His wife then gave birth. Soon after, Spade's spies informed him of this news.
Since David's marriage was not of the traditions of their kingdom, ties to his wealth were cut, and his title was removed. A large setback plummeted the village into poverty.
Fear of Spade coming after them someday, the Holistics began to take their leave. David convinced some of them to stay and encouraged them to aid Plow in moving forward.
Today, I stand before my village, fifteen years of age, and ready for action. I, son of David El Levi, will not let my home fall. We are its future, and I am its protector. I am Caleb El Levi.
Things have drastically changed since the poor walls fell. Sir Issac, our watch tower guard, was sure to replace them with good materials. It brought smiles all over. Mrs. Johnny, the cat lady, too, was grateful for his support.
To be honest, faith has guided others to see our vision. A vision we plan to share with those who wish to live with us. Trust in each other brings progress as we, along with all who reside here, work, and commune together.
Even neighboring towns and villages made peace treaties to help out. Oddly enough, no matter how consistent the pacing was, it still was not enough. We were low on resources, and food was limited.
So, I pledge to become an adventurer to save Plow Village and restore my father's name.
