I consulted with my father about the matter. He was ecstatic about it. Given the training sessions we have on actuation, I'm qualified to be an adventurer. I headed over to the Guild Center to register. The process didn't take too long. In two hours, I was classified as an Abib adventurer.
In the language that the Reuben tribe spoke, it means the first month. We, Abib-ranked adventurers, had to wear black coats. It represents the beginning of our journey. Once I've completed twenty quests, I then can not only wear a blue coat but also receive my first badge. The badge of Stardum.
After settling things with the Guild Master, it was time I headed out. Being an Abib didn't come with perks. Alongside other newcomers, I was prohibited from taking on higher jobs. Those quests were given to Beta rank and above. Even stores were off-limits. We had to either make our weapons or gather materials to get one made. Lucky for some of us, cheap Smith Masters were available near the Guild. I, on the other hand, borrowed my father's Duel Guarded Hydra Sword. Forged from a special metallic ore only royals possessed. Not too far from the village, I scoured the valley for materials.
Upon hearing a strange noise from behind, I instantly came to a stop and tucked myself into the tall grass. A shivering noise made its way around me. Someone, or should I say something, is out here with me. A yellow hump moving in the distance caught my attention as I gasped in silence. It's a small creature.
It has to be. As it disappeared in the distance, I quickly turned around and dipped out of there. Time after, I made enough to buy a stocking hut. We needed it to stock resources in the village. Of course, there was more that needed to be done.
So far, I've gone on many quests and have slain many beasts. Orgs, Wild Goblins, Ghouls, and more. For each creature I slew, I was compensated. It sure isn't a walk in the park. It's not a hobby.
It's a job. Those don't come easy in this region. It takes heart, courage, and dedication to excel as an adventurer. Father once said, "If you're not careful, you can either wind up dead on a quest or left behind on a venture." I was sure to keep that in mind after learning of powerful magical creatures that live in different regions.
Father even told me of one in particular that resides in our region.

Caleb, my son, listen closely. Not far from here is Crystal Forest. It is a place so beautiful that it is said that the leaves from the trees themselves are crystals, hence the name. There lies a creature like no other. No one knows of its origin or its name. Well, we do know its name or at least the one we came up with. We call it, The Wam.
*
From what I've heard, this Wam creature likes to engage in activities. Things like pranking, stealing, trespassing, and of all, fighting. I couldn't believe that nonsense. Every creature that met my gaze has always been vicious and tried to eat me. Very ignorant I was of this Wam.
Suddenly, it hit me. On the day I became an adventurer, I was in the field, and something was following me. Could it have been this so-called Wam creature?
The day after, I rushed over to the Guild, searching for more quests on the news board. It stood right behind the Guild Master at the front desk. Before he could clown me about my short height, a party of Bata-ranked adventures burst through the door.
In a hurry, they carried one of their members to the infirmary at the back. A second was all it took for me to realize who it was.
It was Joseph. He's a friend of mine.
He's from the Asher clan. A clan that possesses special bonds with beasts.
Something has wounded him.
