One of the many perks of being the king over many hellish citizens was that you get to do whatever you want and fuck with whomever you desire. It's one of the packages that comes with being king and a privilege.
But tonight in Hell he wasn't feeling the vibe to go all out with one of hell's hottest bitches nor bothered by the constant scowl Vanessa would throw at him from where she sat across the room. She was his right hand, like what you call the vice president on earth. She is to be with him at all times, seeing to his needs and following him wherever he goes like a loyal bodyguard.
The prospect of being married to a human he has no idea about or even if she was his type in terms of looks bothered him greatly. Even if he would be tied down to someone, because of his gain to destroy one of earth's biggest deliverance centers, he had to know if the one he is married to is worth every bit of him.
I mean, Azrael stood before a full-length mirror to nod at his perfection. The woman must be worth all the sacrifices he was willing to make. She must be overly gorgeous and the type of woman he would constantly want to invite to his bed. Fuck being average in the looks department!
If she can't be as pleasing as half of the demons he is used to down here in hell, their problems would be bigger than them being of different races. The irony of their arranged marriage was that they were to each other everything they stood against. How then was this marriage with benefits going to work out?
The demon placed his hands on his well-defined chin in thought. The haunting reflection of Vanessa glaring hard at him was distracting. He sighed to face her to know exactly what her issue was. She doesn't even want to give him a chance before she starts to condemn him as evil and unrighteous.
Well, what else is he supposed to be as a demon if not an evil incarnate.
"Well, if you want to ride me darling you just say so then glare at me all day. You are not looking very sexy all day with that look on your face."
Her frown deepened as she gazed at the tall demonic presence some feet away from where she stood.
"You really believe everyone sees you and finds you automatically appealing just because of your otherworldly looks?"
Azrael chuckled while adjusting the sleeves of his dress adorned with many stones that shone bright like diamonds.
"For the devil himself to admit that I am drop-dead gorgeous. Why are you still finding it hard to believe?"
His hair fell all the way to his lower back in soft, full silky waves. Each strand of it screams perfection. No demon in hell could ever get used to his gaze worthy looks.
"Aren't you being too cocky?"
Azrael moved down his lips in a way that shows it was not his business. "What does that word even mean?" He smiled at her reflection, loving the reaction he gets from her anytime he pulls her horns. " Why should I pretend to feel so low just to make others comfortable when with me?"
She opened her mouth to speak when the demon raised one finger up to silence her.
"I want to leave Hell and meet with my bride as soon as possible." He took his crown and wore it on his head before the mirror. "I wish to start preparing her for what's coming to hit her."
Vanessa looked the other way, arms folded across her chest.
"She has to be prepared physically, mentally, sexually and…other words that end with that lly thingy for me, so I will know if this union between us could be a success. Maybe I could change my mind about it before it is too late."
He grabbed the eye of Providence and admired how god-like he was rather than being one of hell's best products. One of the demons he'd slept with…he can't remember what she called herself that night ... ... ..said she was convinced enough that cheating with him with her loser mate was a good idea.
Which was true.
He smiled for the mirror and the mirror itself was in love.
He just hoped his bride would be grateful she did nothing to get a partner like him tied to her until the day she breathed her last breath. The benefits of our parents arranged marriages behind our backs at times.
He stepped into the golden elevator with Vanessa typing away to someone on her tablet. He wondered who always made her type so fast with a small smile on her face. She was the only demon in hell that have built a strong immune system to his charms and looks.
The one who dared say to his face that sex with him would be pretty disgusting.
He shook his head with another smile on his face as the doors began to close automatically.
She has no idea of what she was missing out on.
The wisp of Hell's poisonous air that followed with them was immediately purified by an anti sulfur air purifier. Azrael actually missed breathing in earth's air that he longed to be there right at this moment.
But he can't just fly down there. Preparations had to be made before their departure.
He raised his left hand to his face and smiled at his custom-made watch. It had e-a-r-t-h written with a little expiration date placed in the bottom-left corner of the watch. That would always remind him of the little time left he had to destroy mankind for good!
"Is there any need for a wedding or a ceremony?"
Vanessa took off one of her earbuds to listen when he spoke.
"Do you want a wedding to take place, Your Majesty."
Azrael thought about it. It depends on whether his bride wants it or not. But at the same time he does not care. Lying right in the face of God that he would stay right beside her until he'd do them apart was insane. He also preferred not to get God involved in this.
"Let's meet the bride first."
Vanessa nodded in understanding as the elevator doors slid open to the floor. They were currently paying a visit to one of Hell's most prestigious organizations. They go by the popular name of the illuminati, and they would be having a meeting with him here and soon.
"Also, before I forget. I would rather not be too disappointed when I meet her. Send me everything you could gather about my bride and bring them to me before we leave for earth."
"Yes, your majesty."
"No, no, no, Van. It's your evilness."
She rolled her eyes quickly at him before he could see her as they journeyed down a long corridor.
"Yes, your evilness."
