Elias eyes stayed on her for a second longer before he changed the subject.
"Langston has been active lately. Have you noticed anything unusual around the office?" He asked.
"Unusual how?" Lena said as she was trying to catch her breath but still kept her voice very steady.
"Anything out of place, strange emails, suspicious behavior. That sort of a thing." Elias said, his tone was casual but very watchful.
"No, nothing like that at all." Lena said shaking her head.
"Good, I trust you, Lena. Don't give me a reason not to." Elias said, standing.
The words hit Lena more harder than she had expected but she nodded, managing a small smile.
"I won't." she said.
"Excellent, That will be all for now."
Elias said, returning to his desk.
Lena left the office, her heart was pounding as she thought about his words in her mind.
