"This world, the corporate games and the power struggles. It can be really suffocating. Do you ever feel like it is getting too much?" He said as he rest back in his chair, his tone was very thoughtful.
"I think... everyone feels that way sometimes but it is part of the job, isn't it?" Lena hesitated before speaking and she chose her words very carefully.
"It is but not everyone handles it as well as you do." Elias admitted.
Lena looked away, guilt was moving inside her.
"I just try to stay focused." she said.
"You have done more than that. You have been reliable and loyal. I don't really say that about many people." Elias said as he moved forward, his gaze was intent.
"Thank you. That really means a lot." Lena said trying to catch her breath and forced herself to smile again.
Elias was looking at her for some moment before he stood up.
"Don't stay too late. You need rest."
He said.
