Chapter 28: Triad's Intervention
Third person POV
The battle raged on, darkness engulfing the land. Sabine's magic waned, Cassius' forces closing in.
Suddenly, three figures emerged from the shadows: Lyra, Kieran, and Arden, the enigmatic Triad.
"The balance must be maintained," Lyra declared, her voice ethereal.
Kieran unsheathed his sword, its blade shimmering with ancient power.
"We will not allow Cassius' destruction to continue," he stated.
Arden's eyes burned with inner fire.
"The Bloodstone Clan's true purpose must be upheld," he said.
The Triad charged into battle, their powers countering Cassius' darkness. Sabine's magic surged anew.
Cassius' POV
Cassius snarled, his eyes blazing with fury.
"You meddling fools!" he spat.
Sabine's POV
I grasped the Triad's intentions.
"Together, we can end this," I said.
Elian and Kael's pack, reinvigorated, fought alongside the Triad. Ava's anxiety turned to hope.
Kael's POV
I shielded Ava, my eyes locked on Cassius.
"The tide is turning," I growled.
Cassius' army faltered, the Triad's power shifting the balance.
Backstory (continued):
The Triad's Origins
The Triad, ancient beings of immense power, were tasked with maintaining balance within the realm. Their origins shrouded in mystery, they operated outside clan politics. Lyra, Kieran, and Arden had watched the Bloodstone Clan's rise, waiting for the perfect moment to intervene.
The Bloodstone Clan's True Purpose
Arachne, the clan's founder, had envisioned a harmonious blend of magic and power. Cassius' corruption distorted this vision. The Triad sought to restore the clan's original purpose.
Will the Triad's intervention be enough to defeat Cassius and restore balance to the realm?
