[ Beep…
Gained immunity for poisonous fog for 15 minutes.
]
Elias began to eat all the plants he had, one by one before getting up saying, " Eat all of them * munch* no need to preserve."
Ren and Lily looked at each other, complex feelings revealing complex emotions. This was natural.
Although they worked together up to now, it didn't mean they could trust each other completely. After all, they just met a few hours ago.
Elias shrugged.
" One plant can grant resistance to this fog for only 15 minutes."
" How-"
" Now, again don't ask how do I know that" Elias interrupted before Lily could continue.
" It's up to you, whether to trust me or not"
Ren and Lily once again exchanged looks with each other, before nodding and starting to consume Moonshadow Herb they had.
" Let's move," Elias clapped, " we don't have time to waste. After all, this can only give us 2 and a half hours."
" Your eyes…still working?" Ren turned towards Lily.
" Yeah. This type of mere fog can't beat my skill," Lily replied, her face brimming with confidence and continued, " what about you?"
" Of course, I can hear it, clearer than before."
" Well, that's not a surprise." Elias murmured.
Ren turned to him with confusion written all over his face before asking, " Why do you say it's not a surprise?"
" Physics." Elias shot back, his expression unreadable.
Ren thought for a second and then said, "Oh, it's Newton's third law, isn't it?" He leaned in a bit, wearing a smug grin like he was the smartest guy in the group.
Lily just facepalmed, shaking her head saying, " Newton's third law is about action and reaction! Seriously Ren, this is just common sense, even a two year old knows about that!"
" What? Am I wrong?" He asked, his face revealing pure shock.
" Never mind, let's continue, shall we?" Elias hopped in as he noticed the conversation had begun to drag for a long time.
—
Elias, Lily and Ren had been walking on the fog covered path for two hours, before they noticed something was amiss.
The fog began to thicken as the air turned heavy and suffocating. Ren's ears suddenly twitched, as he came to a sudden halt, signalling the others to stop.
" Someone is here…" He whispered in a soft voice.
Lily's magical eyes darted around, glowing in yellow. "Not just one…four.. no five of them." She mumbled her eyes focusing far away that Elias couldn't grasp.
"Five of what?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
Before Lily could answer,a ghostly figure lunged from the fog—a viper-like creature, its hood blasting a ball of poisonous fog which glowed green blending with darkness of the fog.
"Move!" Elias pushed Lily away before rolling to the other side.
The poisonous ball of fog dispersed as the viper emerged through it, slashing its tail violently.
*Boom* *Boom*
The air reverberated as its tail cut through, at an astonishing speed.

Elias got to his feet, his palms pointing towards the nearest Vipercloud, which was opening its poison filled mouth.
But before he could fire, a huge fist covered by a faint red glow crashed onto its head. The beast shrieked as it somersaulted for several hundred metres.
Ren, his body once again engulfed in a warm red aura, turned at Ren with a proud smile on his face.
" How is my punch?" He cracked his knuckles.
" Behind you!" Lily screamed.
Two Viperclouds were slashing their tails aiming Ren's head as they approached.
Ren raised both of his hands, in a way that he was about to grip something.
And then the two tails crashed.
Green poisonous fog engulfed Ren, drowning him in a sea of poison.
A few seconds after the fog dispersed, revealing Ren's brawny body with his muscle bulged and his hands gripping something tightly.
Two fifteen feet long Viperclouds' tails were dancing in his hands. The monsters hissed violently, shooting ball after ball of poisonous fog.
Ren appeared uninjured, a proud smirk on his face.
" I hate that stupid smile of yours!" Lily bellowed anger lacing in her voice.
" Hehe, this is just nothing!"
The earlier scaredy cat had now become a cool hero, with a shining armour riding on a white horse.
" Fool, get your hands away from them!" Elias yelled.
" Why-" Before he could continue, the beasts began to glow in bright green, emitting green poisonous smoke from all over their bodies.
As if that was not enough, a bright green liquid splashed from their tails.
" ARRRRGHHHHH" Ren bellowed, as he released the two tails from his hands, before rolling on to the ground.
" Ren!" Lily tried to reach him, but soon she was encountered by another two beasts.
She tapped her wristband on her right hand. The wristband glittered in white light, as it enlarged, finally revealing a 4 feet long katana.
She twirled her katana, cutting through the air with a loud *whoosh*.
The blade glowed under the dim moonlight, as it created silver circles around her , just like a powerful shield.
Elias might not have known much about katana fighting, but he could definitely see how skilled she was. Her blade was like a laser, hitting the monsters' weak spots with amazing accuracy.
Still, no matter how graceful her moves were or how talented she seemed, she wasn't making a dent in them. The two creatures zipped around her, retreating and striking at different parts of her.
It was obvious to Elias that they were just probing her defenses, looking for any loophole in her guard.
Now, Elias understood why the system notification emphasized these two words – high intelligence, as he watched their combined almost perfect attacks.
"Wow, you've got some serious power, huh?" Elias glanced over at the Vipercloud hissing at him, his face serious.
