The snake opened its mouth as poisonous fog concentrated in its mouth.
[ Beep…
Skill Starpower Infusion activated
-1000 Beastial Qi.

Elias felt a wave of energy, running crazily in his veins.
And then another system notification popped up.
[ The skill is currently boosted by the title: Rising Star
40% reduction of Beastial Qi consumption for every skill.
]
'This title…it's really something. The name itself is peculiar…I wonder why the system granted me such a title.' Elias thought to himself, before diverting his attention once again to the vipercloud.
He felt his hearing had improved to a level that he could even hear the 'snore' sound they followed throughout their journey.
His vision also increased to the point that he could easily point out small holes between the snake's rough scales.
Elias tilted his head, looking at the timer countdown.
[ Remaining time: 4 minutes and 57 seconds]
He deeply inhaled, muttering, " Bring it on, you little slippery shit."
The snake hissed, as if he had gotten a sense of what he was saying. Its eyes gleamed with bright green, poison seeping out from its nostrils.
And then the snake launched its poison ball directly at his face.
Elias turned slightly to the side, less than half a second. The green ball passed his face, almost touching his nose tip.
The snake hissed in frustration as it saw its attack had failed to damage Elias.
After observing Elias' eyes for a moment, it launched at him, its tail slashing through the air, targeting his neck.
Elias remained calm, looking at the spiraling snake covered in a veil of lethal fog.
The vipercloud felt quite happy, and decided to use all of its strength, seeing Elias not moving, in defense.
The light energy Elias wielded had already made it feel uneasy about him.
The snake covered the gap between him and Elias in less than a second.
Elias' lips curled into a mocking smile, understanding the intentions of the serpent. The serpent hissed, as if it had noticed this absurd smile. But it was too late.
Elias disappeared from his previous location, just as its body almost crashed on him. More than ten afterimages followed him, as he moved behind the snake, landing a fist covered in astral energy, to a small dent between its scales, he noticed previously.
The vipercloud somersaulted several times before crashing on a rune etched tree.
Elias looked at his fist. His skin was smoking as the poison burned through it.
But before he could feel pain, his regeneration abilities kicked in powered up by the skill, Starpower Infusion.
" Help me!" Ren screamed as two serpents launched at him.
The serpents' mouths were wide open, showing its sharp fangs, which glittered ominously under the dim light.
Elias pointed his palms towards the two snakes, his unique energy concentrating around his fingers, as he fired two light beams, which illuminated the entire maze for a brief moment.
[ System notification:

The system notification blinked in his peripheral vision.
The beams crashed violently, pushing the two beasts away from Ren.
The two beasts somersaulted for some distance, but soon they gained their balance once again.
Elias took this brief chance to check on Ren.
" You…okay?" He whispered.
" Yeah, I think so… at least for now." He deeply inhaled, turning his head towards the serpents.
" Why can't they just die? Why the fuck our attacks are useless against them?"
Elias observed the bodies of the serpents. To his surprise, he couldn't even find a small scratch.
But before he could think anymore, a loud clang echoed, pulling him out of his thoughts.
" Lily!" Ren screamed as he jumped at Lily, who had fallen onto the floor, her katana lying a little bit away from her.
Sweat dripped down her face, and her skin had a bit of a pale hue, showing that she was nearing her breaking point.
The two tails of the two monsters came down viciously, determined to take both of their lives in one go.
Ren hugged Lily, as his body glowed in bright red, deciding to use his body as a protective shield against the oncoming attack.
" These two fools…" Elias sighed as he once again fired two beams of light energy, pushing the two swirling monsters away.
" Get away from there."
Lily responded quickly as she rolled away along with Ren, distancing themselves from the Viperclouds.
The five beasts surround them forming a ring with their bodies circling above them.
Ren and Lily got on their feet and stood back to back with Elias, facing three directions.
" Well, I have a way to defeat them but I need your help." Elias muttered under his breath, his eyes darting at the snakes.
" What is it?" Lily asked eagerly.
" Are you sure you are in it? I mean do you trust me?" Elias asked, his face solemn.
" Of course! Do you think anyone would not trust someone who saved their life?" Ren yelled, his voice overwhelming with emotions.
" Elias, tell us, we have faith in you! In fact we are ready to give our lives to you." Lily muttered, her voice indicating unwavering loyalty.
" We? But-" Before Ren could say anything, Lily nudged him, forcing him to stop.
" Yeah…me too.."
Elias smiled inwardly. Though he wasn't sure about their loyalty, he was still happy.
No one had told such things before in his entire life.
At the company, he was always the lousy one, who got all the blame, all the time.
This feeling made him feel that he had made the right choice. His choice to become a beast tamer.
A wave of determination flasheed in his eyes, as he began to explain his plan to the other two.
All this happened in just a few seconds.
Lily and Ren nodded at Elias with meaningful looks on their faces.
