"So the reason for this drama is because of that girl? Oh no! I can't believe this." His mother said, shaking her head.
"Beck? Is this true?" She asked him but he remained silent.
"Your silence says a lot. Your silence only means that Blue is right. You're so unbelievable! What were you thinking? That you'll get married to that weak wolf, who can't even save herself, not to talk of others if a war begins?" She asked, irritated.
"I heard how she was unable to save her best friend when the rogue wolves attacked and she got killed in the process. Is that who you want to be with? Is that who you're here sulking for? Just pray that your father does not find out about this. I'm sure you know what he can do, I don't need to remind you." She said and hissed.
"I can't believe that she is not here anymore, yet she is still causing so much trouble. She really attracts problems wherever she goes to." She added and hissed loudly again.
"Yes, Beck, you know your mum is right. You shouldn't be sulking here because of Veronica. She is too weak for you, you said it yourself, didn't you?" Ben said and Beck turned to glare at him.
"He is right. Why are you glaring at him in that manner? Since you already know she is too weak for you, why are you acting up?" His mother spoke again.
"Can you all just give me a break! Can't I have my alone moment in peace? Why are you all in my throat? Why are you trying to shove your opinions down my throat? I'm fine! I never said I was down because of her. Damn!" Beck snapped at them.
"And who is shoving their opinions down your throat? I will not just stand here and watch you disrespect me. Never! I won't allow it. You may be taller than I am right now but I am still your mother!" She yelled at him.
"I'm sorry, mum. I just-" He tried to apologize but she cut him off when she walked out on him.
"Man, I understand that you are not happy with the way things turned out. I mean, she wasn't just given a light punishment, she was BANISHED. DAMN!" Ben said.
"But come to think of it, last time I checked, you complained bitterly about this girl. You said she didn't compliment you in any way, and she didn't deserve to be the Luna because she is weak." Damion stated.
"Even at that, I don't think she deserved to be banished. At least, a punishment would have sufficed, knowing well that she probably has no place to go and no family or pack to go back to. I wonder where she will go now." Tom said to him.
"But she must have come from somewhere. She didn't fall from the sky, did she now?" Damion said, and Beck glared at him.
"Damion!" Ben exclaimed.
"What?" He snapped back. "What did I do? I did nothing wrong and I definitely said nothing wrong." He said, shrugging.
"Come on, don't be insensitive." Ben scolded him.
"I'm not being insensitive, I was just asking a question because I was genuinely curious. Since you said you weren't sure if she had any place to go to and she didn't have any family members, did she fall from the sky? It's an honest question, why are you trying to make it sound like I'm mocking him or her." Damion complained.
"Just keep quiet, Damion! Can't you read the room. Keep quiet." Tom ordered him to keep quiet because he noticed Beck was getting angry already and it would only be a matter of minutes before he finally flared up.
"Why would you tell me to keep quiet? What for? This doesn't even concern you. What is your business with the girl who was banished in the first place? What business do you have with her? Come to think of it, you've been taking her side ever since, so much so that I'm beginning to wonder if there is more than meets the eye." Damion said, and Ben looked at him in a confused manner.
"Are you crazy? What are you insinuating?" Ben asked.
"You definitely know what I'm insinuating and you know what I'm trying to say, you coward." Damion snapped back, sneering at him.
"Me? A coward? How dare you?" Ben asked angrily.
"Yes, that's what you are. You think I did not know? Or do you think you could hide it forever? Hahaha, you must be a fool." Damion began another round of bickering and Ben angrily charged at him.
Beck had watched as both his childhood friends kept throwing words at each other in an angry manner. He had decided to keep watching them at first, until he noticed they were about to get aggressive, and so he jumped in between them to separate them.
"Will you both behave and stop fighting like children? What the hell is wrong with you two? Why are you both acting like kids? Are you here to see me or you're here to fight yourselves? What exactly is the matter?" Beck yelled angrily at them.
"You should ask him since he was the one who started it." Ben yelled, fuming.
"You coward, why don't you tell him the truth? Are you scared, you spineless coward!" Damion shouted and another round of fight was about to break out, but Beck was quick to stop them from tearing each other apart.
"What exactly is going on? This is getting more serious than I thought it would be. I thought we were all friends, what is all this violence for?" Beck asked, looking so confused.
Truly, the three of them had been friends for a long time, so he could not understand why they both were fighting right at that moment because there was no sign of disagreement between them before. Or did he miss the sign?
"Can you guys please just stop? We're supposed to be friends for crying out loud!" Beck said, trying to make them calm down.
"Friends? That was what I thought too until I found out that this bastard had always had a thing for Veronica. He has been secretly in love with her even while she was still dating you, Beck!" He dropped the bombshell.
