Chapter 1 - Tearing off a page

I am so hungry, i haven't eaten for days.

I wonder if the restaurant nearby would give me some food.

"Get outta here you filthy rat?!!"

Yeah as expected, whatever i will go and rummgae the dumpster for something.

As I walked towards where the food might be, my leg kicked a book.

It tumbled across the pavement, landing open on the ground. I bent down to pick it up, curiosity tugging at me.

There was nothing special about it at first glance, just a plain, weathered book. But something about it felt… different. As I held it, the cover looked almost new compared to its pages, which were yellowed and worn.

I glanced at the page that had fallen open. The sentence stood out, bold and unmissable:

"Tear me and experience a brand new life."

I blinked in disbelief. Was this some kind of joke? My fingers traced the edges of the page, and before I could stop myself, I tugged at it. The paper ripped with ease, a strange chill running down my spine as the action was completed.

Suddenly, everything around me seemed to fade like the world was slipping through my fingers. A faint glow surrounded the torn page, and I felt a force pull me forward, as though the universe itself was pushing me toward something… something unknown.

Before I could react, the ground beneath me disappeared, and everything went dark.

"How interesting, How truly strange, a boy lands in front of me, i wonder who he is" I woke up to onlu hear the voice of a girl?, ringing in my ears.

When i opened my eyes, i saw a girl with blonde hair and pink eyes looking at me strangely whilst invoking a grin that would give me nightmares.

"u-uhm who are you" I asked still not knowing what happened.

"Oh, shouldn't a man introduce himself first but i will let you go since i am awfully happy today, I am the Sin Archbishop of lust, Capella Emerada Lugunica" I blinked, that sounds like a weird name.

"uhm ok?, I am Adam a seventeen year old good for nothing orphan" I stumbled to my feet, my legs still weak from the strange experience. The ground beneath me was cold and unfamiliar, like stone, but the air around me was thick with an odd warmth, almost suffocating.

Capella Emerada Lugunica… The name echoed in my head. She didn't look like any kind of archbishop I'd ever heard of. She wore a strange black dress, adorned with intricate symbols I couldn't make out, and her eyes, a brilliant shade of pink, almost glowed in the dim light. I couldn't tell if she was human, or something else entirely.

"Adam, huh?" Capella's voice was soft, but there was a wicked undertone that sent a chill down my spine. "You look skinny, drink this"

She handed me a glass cup with pink liquid inside, it didn't seem suspicious and i am actually a bit hungry…soo anything works i guess.

When i drank it, i tasted nothing, felt nothing, but i did feel something crawling under my skin but i shrugged it off as goosebumps.

Capella was circling me as if observing an endangered being, she stopped and then looked at me. "What do you think of Love?"

"Honestly that's a very weird question, i don't know, never actually felt it, all i got was hate and never felt hate for anyone" I said as she slowly grasped my face with her hands, they were cold and…warm at the same time.

"But that can't do, Everyone should love, well everyone should love ME" Well she seems to be gripping me harder and i felt i was getting…shorter?.

When i looked down at my arms, i saw they were turning fair and clean. "Oh, cool but why am i getting short?"

"Hahah, because, you have missed your childhood and i am simply giving you back all those lost times" She said, well that's nice.

"That's cool and all, but next time ask for permission, i mean i don't mind what you're doing to me" I said with a smile, My height stopped reducing but i was still a head taller than her.

She pulled back andraised an eyebrow and was tapping her chin, she was looking at me from up to down with a strange smile. "Haa, Why should i ask the permission of something that's naturally mine"

"Oh ok, i mean you look like someone who went through something…unsavory, i would understand your mindset i guess" I felt no reason to judge her.

She looked at me once more. "You are strange, Why are you so submissive,Why don't you judge me hmmmm, Answer me"

I scratched the back of my head. "uhm, i think it's a disability…Anyways, i am used to harsh treatment i guess and don't think i should envoke the same thing to other people, it seems unfair and slightly hypocritical"

"Mhm,mhm ok but here's another question, You aren't cowering when i revealed i was an Archbishop, why is that" She aske more curious than before l.

"Well maybe because i don't know where i amor what that title even means," I replied, shrugging. "In my world, the word 'Archbishop' just refers to some high-ranking church official. I'm guessing it's different here?"

She laughed softly, the sound both melodic and sinister. "Oh, you are definitely in a different world, Adam. And here, the title of Sin Archbishop holds… a rather darker meaning."

Her words lingered in the air, heavy with something I couldn't quite understand. I had no idea how I'd ended up in this strange place or what she meant, but one thing was clear—nothing about this situation was normal.

"So, this is another world, huh?" I mumbled to myself, looking down at my newly transformed hands. They were smooth and youthful, unfamiliar but strangely mine.

Capella seemed delighted by my reaction, a playful smirk spreading across her face. "Indeed. And now, little Adam, you belong to me," she declared with an unsettling finality. "You're my little experiment, my… pet project, if you will."

"That sounds rather ominous, but i don't you're all that bad, you've been nicer than anyone has ever been to me, so i might as well be indebted to you a little" I said.

"You know i don't kill people, i turn them into flies, dragons or even something more terrifying" She let out a terrifying grin.

I blinked. "uhm ok…Why would i care about that, i mean you didn't do it to me so why would i care"

"Strange, aren't you angry" She asked ince more.

"I have a motto, if no one will love you, love yourself and disregard everyone else, even if they are dying" Capella's grin widened, her pink eyes flashing with something between amusement and intrigue. "Well, aren't you an interesting little creature, Adam. Self-love amidst a world that despises you… I can't decide if that's admirable or pathetic."

I shrugged. "Guess it's up to you. I stopped caring what others thought a long time ago."

She let out a small laugh, clearly entertained. "Good. Perhaps you'll survive in this world longer than most. Or perhaps you'll simply amuse me for a while… Either way, you're mine now." Her gaze held me, a strange intensity swirling in her eyes.

A chill ran down my spine, but I wasn't sure if it was fear or something else. There was something oddly magnetic about Capella, like she embodied both beauty and terror in one form.

"So, what now?" I asked, feeling strangely calm despite everything. Maybe it was because I'd been through so much in my world that this almost felt like… an adventure.

"Now?" She tilted her head, examining me. "Well i didn't expect someone to fall in front of me today, so you might as well follow me my little pet"

"It's Adam" I said with a forces smile.

"No my little pet, no, you are MY pet" She said with a smile.

"Fine but can you atleast call me by another name than pet" Capella's smirk widened, her gaze sweeping over me with a mixture of amusement and disdain. "Very well," she said with a mocking lilt, "you want a name fitting of this world? How about… Aden? Close enough to what you call yourself, but a little more suitable for Lugnica."

"Aden…" I repeated, testing the name on my tongue. It was strange, but familiar enough not to feel like a stranger to myself. I nodded. "Yeah, I guess that works."

"Good." Capella's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Now, little Aden, it's time for you to meet the others. If you're truly going to be my pet, you'll need to understand the hierarchy here."

As she turned and began walking, I hesitated but quickly followed, feeling like I was in a dream or maybe a nightmare. The cold, cobbled corridors stretched out before us, and each step echoed eerily, bouncing off the stone walls. It felt like a mix between a palace and a dungeon, and every shadow seemed to slither with some unseen life.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked cautiously, staying close but careful not to overstep.

"To meet the other Archbishops, of course," she replied with a wicked grin. "You're now in the company of the Witch Cult, and if you're to survive even a day, you need to understand who holds power in Lugnica."

I felt a chill. The Witch Cult? The stories I'd heard in my world were only rumors, but the fear surrounding them was very real. Here, I'd somehow ended up not just in a world where the Witch Cult was real, but now I was in its heart—and as far as I could tell, under its control.

"Do… do I have any choice in this?" I asked, bracing myself for some kind of punishment.

Capella laughed, her voice sharp and mocking. "Choice? No, Aden. The moment you tore that page, you bound yourself to this world. But," she leaned closer, her pink eyes glinting with dark amusement, "if you survive long enough, you might get a few small choices of your own. That is… if you don't break first."

Her words lingered, filling the air with a strange dread. There was something almost intoxicating about Capella—a blend of terror and allure that I couldn't quite understand.

We walked through the stone corridors, descending deeper into what felt like an underground maze. Eventually, Capella stopped before a tall, imposing door marked with symbols that seemed to glow faintly in the dim light.

"This is where the others gather," she said, eyeing me as though she was introducing her pet to a pack of hungry wolves. "Remember, Aden, you belong to me, but they… they're not as forgiving."

The door creaked open, and the shadows seemed to press in around us. Steeling myself, I stepped forward, feeling like I was walking into the jaws of the abyss. I had no idea what waited on the other side, but one thing was clear: this world, and my place in it, was nothing like what I'd known.

Later i find myself in a room.

Turns out i am pure trash and almost got killed off bu some disgusting looking people.

As i was wallowing in my own thoughts, A floating book appeared in front of me, it was the same book and there was a text on it.

"Well Damn…I uh accept?" The moment i said that i felt something invisible crush my soul to pieces and felt it being remolded.

And then a snake the size of a small shampoo bottle blinked at me, its black scales red eyes and the two horns on its heads intimidated me.

"Hello" I said waving my hand.

"…Damn, you look like something too perfect to be divine, your appearance it's Blasphemous i like it" I tilted my head, i haven't checked my appearance ever since Casella changed it.

"Whay do you mean?" I asked curiously.

"Kid you have gold hair and Pink eyes with a red hue as a slit, your skin is awfully fair and the smell i am getting from you is enough to intoxicate a lot of creatures and be your mindless slaves" I blinked, confused and slightly uncomfortable. "Wait, what? Are you saying I'm some kind of… walking temptation or something?"

The snake, still floating in front of me with its eerie red eyes, flicked its tongue in the air, its gaze never leaving me. "Oh, it's not that simple, kid. You don't know it, but your very presence has power. People, beings… they will flock to you, not because they love you, but because you radiate something they crave."

I frowned, my mind racing. "Great, so now I'm some kind of cursed magnet?

"Sure if you think of it that way, now i haven't introduced mysel, I am Blaspherion Paemiones, A dragon."

"uh i am Adam or Aden, i am a human"

"You ain't human, You're a chimera"

"…"

"It's not bad, it's the most blasphemous thing you could become?!!"

"huh, i already lost my humanity the first day i am in this world"

"It's not bad, humans are weak flesh bags with too many weaknesses to count anyways"

"Blasph, i am calling you that by the way, it seems you like to crave chaos, i hope i am not influenced by you"

"…Yeah Right?!"
