Chapter 3 - Meeting Pandora-2

Here i am in my room with a girl that has platinum hair,Blue eyes and so dangerously perfect that it disgusts me.

Pandora had a very passive expression, but i only had ine thing to say about that. "I thought you would ne terrible but you actually look cute…too cute that it disgusts me"

Pandora's lips curved into a small, amused smile, her gaze never wavering as she watched the exchange between me and Blasph. Her voice was soft, almost gentle, yet laced with something deeply unsettling. "How… amusing," she murmured, almost as if she were speaking to herself. "Such spirit, such defiance."

I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. "Look, I don't know what you expect from me, but I don't need to be some Archbishop of Pride or whatever to keep going. I'm fine as I am."

Pandora tilted her head, her expression remaining perfectly serene. "Oh, dear, that's what makes you so perfect for this role. Pride untainted by obligation or weakness, a heart free of the chains of lesser emotions. You wouldn't serve anyone, Aden; you would stand alone, exalted."

Blasph slithered over my shoulder, muttering with a scowl, "Kid, she's baiting you. No one like her ever gives a gift freely."

Pandora's gaze flickered to him for the briefest moment, a flicker of disdain crossing her expression before she turned back to me, her voice sweet, almost motherly. "Perhaps you're right, little spirit. But there is always a choice, Aden. The question is… will you step forward and seize the destiny that is waiting for you?"

I raised an eyebrow, trying not to be affected by her smooth words. "And what if I say no?"

A shadow passed over her face, but her smile remained. "Then you simply remain as you are—a creature drifting in a world that may never fully appreciate you, an existence that may always remain… incomplete. But if you accept…" Her eyes sparkled with a dangerous promise. "Then I could offer you things beyond even your imagination. Power, knowledge, freedom from the constraints of this world."

"Freedom, huh?" I murmured, glancing away for a moment as her words settled in.

Blasph's tail flicked against my shoulder, snapping me back to reality. "Kid, don't let her get in your head. This sounds like the oldest trick in the book."

"Yeah it's obvious she's trying to Manipulate me

Blasph shaked his head in agreement. "You smell like a a divine presence, i would have devoured you if i wasn't limited"

Her eyes, Ever unblinking stared at me. "Aden or Adam, i have com here with an offer for you, i want to give you the title of Archbishop of pride"

"Nope, your group is creepy but i am not the one to judge, Also Blasphemy to the witches" I said with a hand raised.

"It's Blasphemy to the gods you dimwit" Blasph said with a strong slap of his tail to his head.

Pandora watched our exchange with a hint of amusement, her serene smile never faltering. "Blasphemy… such an interesting concept, don't you think?" she murmured, her voice soft and almost reflective. "I wonder… who defines what is worthy of reverence and what is worthy of scorn?"

I scoffed, leaning back against the wall. "Are you here to lecture me about faith now? Because I've got enough of that in my life already."

Her eyes glimmered with a strange light. "Oh no, my dear. Faith is… irrelevant to me. I'm here to show you a path, one where you have the power to define your own truth, to shape the world as you see fit."

"Wow," I said, unimpressed. "You make it sound like I'd be some kind of god."

She tilted her head, her expression unchanging. "Perhaps not a god, but something close. Pride, after all, is the most exalted of sins. It is the foundation upon which the strong build their empires."

Blasph let out a snort, his tongue flicking in irritation. "Vanity, you cannot deter is with your Disgusting abilities, The kid has refused the offer, but he hasn't refused working with you lot"

Pandora's gaze lingered on Blasph, her expression a delicate blend of amusement and thinly veiled annoyance. "Oh, little spirit," she murmured with a sigh, "how narrow your understanding is. I am not here to 'deter' nor to 'convince' in the mundane sense. I am simply… planting seeds."

She returned her gaze to me, her unsettlingly serene smile returning. "Aden, pride does not mean turning your back on potential allies. Sometimes, the proudest path is knowing when to accept aid, even from those you find distasteful." Her voice softened, dipping into an almost hypnotic cadence. "Refusing out of principle can become its own kind of chain."

I narrowed my eyes. "So, what? You're saying that I should just… work with you? Even though I know you're probably hiding a million ulterior motives?"

Pandora's smile widened, an eerie warmth in her expression. "Precisely. We are all guided by motives, dear one. Some are selfish, others noble. But ultimately, what matters is not the path but the strength with which you walk it."

Blasph bristled, his form pulsing as if he were about to lash out. "Enough with your riddles, lady. What do you actually want from him?"

Pandora met his glare with an almost pitying look before addressing me directly. "I merely wish to extend an invitation—a partnership. Pride cannot grow without challenges, without forces against which to measure itself. I believe you, Aden, could thrive in such an environment, and in return… well, perhaps I'll find my own satisfaction in seeing what you become."

I crossed my arms, feeling her words sink in, as unsettling as they were persuasive. "If I agree to work with you, it's on my terms. I don't want to owe you anything, got it?"

"Of course," she replied smoothly, an unreadable glint in her eyes. "As it should be. We shall each walk our own paths, but perhaps… they will cross when the time is right."

She extended her hand, an almost graceful gesture. "A simple agreement, nothing binding, nothing owed."

I looked at her hand for a moment, hesitating. Blasph hissed softly beside me. "Kid, this is a mistake."

I met Pandora's gaze one last time, searching for any hint of deceit in her unwavering, too-perfect smile. Then, slowly, I reached out and shook her hand.

But there was one thing i wanted, i couldn't resist the urge to pamper the heck out of her as if she was my child. "Let's make another agreement, if one day i come and challenge you and if i win,You will follow me for all eternity if i lose welp i die i guess"

Pandora's eyes flickered with a fleeting, unreadable emotion as I spoke. For a moment, her serene expression faltered, a small hint of surprise flashing across her perfect features. Then, just as quickly, her smile returned, this time with a touch of something darker, more intrigued.

"You truly are a curious one, Aden," she said softly, her voice low and dangerous, as if savoring the challenge I had thrown her way. "You would risk your life for such a simple game? How delightfully reckless." Her eyes gleamed, as if she had just uncovered something far more interesting than she anticipated.

Blasph, perched on my shoulder, growled in warning. "You're playing with fire, kid. Do you really want to challenge her? She's not some little problem you can solve with your fists."

But Pandora ignored Blasph's words, her gaze still fixed on me. "Very well," she purred, her voice almost like a caress. "If you wish to make such a gamble, I accept. But let me make one thing clear…" She leaned slightly forward, her eyes narrowing, the air between us thickening with her presence. "I do not lose. And the consequences for such a challenge are not something you can easily fathom."

I felt the weight of her words, and for a moment, doubt crept into my mind. But I couldn't back down now. Not after everything that had happened. Not when I had already committed myself to this strange, dangerous path.

"You're right," I replied, my voice firm. "But if I win, you'll follow me. No tricks, no loopholes."

Pandora's smile widened, and the air around her seemed to shift, as if the very fabric of reality bent under her influence. "Of course, Aden. I give you my word… that is, if you win. If not, well…" Her smile became sharper, more predatory. "You'll have a new lesson in what it truly means to be in my presence."

Blasph hissed again, his form vibrating with agitation. "Kid, this isn't something you should joke about. She's more than capable of twisting those words however she likes."

I ignored Blasph's warning, my mind set. "So, it's a deal then. Whenever I decide the time is right, I'll challenge you."

Pandora's smile turned colder, her eyes gleaming with something that sent a shiver down my spine. "Indeed. But remember, Aden… every choice has its price. And when the time comes, you may find that victory is more elusive than you think."

She stepped back, her form becoming even more ethereal, as if she were slowly slipping away into the very air itself. "Until then," she murmured, her voice now almost a whisper, "enjoy your pride. It will be your guide… or your downfall."

With that, she vanished, leaving only the lingering echo of her presence in the room. The tension in the air remained, thick and suffocating, as if the room itself had become a battleground waiting for the inevitable clash between us.

Blasph let out a frustrated growl, shaking his head. "This is going to be a nightmare, I can already feel it."

"…But aren't you a nightmare too" I asked in bafflement.

"hmph, you know what, i'm going to make you train first thing tomorrow morning" Why would he do that?.

I gave him an annoyed glamc and then thought about that book, what exactly was it.
