First person's point of view
Two months had passed since Monica's accident, and she had been lying in a coma. Gael had been by her side every step of the way, praying for her recovery and not giving up on her. Finally, the day arrived when Monica's eyes opened as she gazed at Gael with a mixture of confusion and gratitude.
Gael lifts with joy as he holds Monica's hand, with a sign of relief, "Monica, oh Monica Oh, you are awake! Thank God you are alive, thank God". He exclaimed with his voice trembling. Monica's voice was below a whisper, but Gael moved closer towards her so he could hear her words" Gael what happened?" She asked with her eyes scanning the hospital room like she was looking for answers.
Gael took a deep breath and narrated how he had saved her from the wreckage of the car. Monica listened to him attentively, her eyes widened as she realized the gravity of the situation she was in.
" And my family?" She asked with concern.
The health expression changed " your father came to visit you for a few weeks, but he couldn't come any longer. He's been in a coma too. Monica, according to my findings, Emily has been feeding him drugs to keep him weak and submissive. Monica's eyes flashed with anger and disbelief "that's.... that's ...impossible" she exclaimed.
Gael held onto her hand tightly. "I know it is hard to accept, but Monica is the truth. And I am willing to help you take Emily down. I will give you all the power and resources you need to exact your revenge.
Monica's mind narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. "Gael, what will you want in return?" she asked. Her voice was cautious.
Gael's smile was persuasive. "I want us to get married, Monica. Just on paper, of course, I will give you all the time you need to think about it and, once you are ready, I will bring the contract of our marriage. We can work together to take down Emily and secure your true place in the family"
Monica's eyes searched Gael's eyes, looking for any form of ulterior motive. But all she saw was his sincerity and determination. She knew that she needed allies in her quest for justice and Gael seemed willingly to do whatever it took to help her.
With a nod of her head, Monica agreed to consider Gael's proposal, and he left her side, giving her the space she needed to think about. Little did she know that this was just the beginning of a complex web of alliances and deceit and betrayal that would change her life and family forever.
Monica is facing a daunting decision that will determine her future. The fate of her family empire hung in the balance as Monica navigated the tender landscape of power, greed, love and Vengeance.
As Monica lay in her bed, her mind racing with Gael's proposal, she knew that she shouldn't trust him completely, but she also knew that she needed his help. Emily was dangerous and formidable because she wouldn't be able to take her down alone.
But her mind wondered, what did Gael want in return for his help? Was it just a convincing marriage or did he have an ulterior motive? Monica's mind jumbled with questions and doubts, but she knew one thing was certain, she had to make a decision soon.
With a sign, Monica closed her eyes to sleep but couldn't. The thought of Gael, Emily and the future, she knew she had to be careful because that one wrong move could spell disaster. But she also knew she must not let fear hold her back.
As she kept trying to sleep, Monica knew she had a long road ahead of her, but she was ready for the challenge. She's ready to fight for her family empire and her own rightful place in the world. The fate of her future hung in the balance and Monica was ready to come out on top. Monica's decision to accept Gael's proposal met with mixed emotions. After her discharge from the hospital, she went straight to her husband Miguel's house, her heart heavy with her decision. She signed the divorce papers, her hands shaking slightly as she relinquished her claim on the man she truly once loved. Miguel's eyes widened in shock as he watched Monica pack her bags, his mind reeling with the realization that she was truly leaving.
" Monica... are you... really leaving me? He asked with disbelief.
Monica's smile was bitter. "I'm not a ghost Miguel, I am very alive and have taken control over my life. You're free to go to Mia and be happy with her, you both deserve each other".
With that, she turned away to leave, leaving Miguel staring at her as she left.
Next, Monica stopped by her father's house, her heart beating in her chest. She had no idea what kind of reception she would receive, but she was determined to face her family once and for all.
As she entered the house she met a scene that made her anger boil.
She met her mother Emily and Mia having a cozy meal, their laughter and chatter filling the air.
Mia's eyes widened in shock as Monica approached them. "Monica, is that you? What are you doing here? She asked, her voice shaking.
Monica's smile was cold. "This is my father's house, so I have every right to be here."
Emily's eyes narrowed, and her face boiled with anger." what are you talking about? Monica, you are just sad
Monica's laughter was mocking "a what mother? A mistake? Adopted? A nobody? Mother, you know the truth. I am the first and first biological daughter of my father. You adopted me to make my life miserable. You tried to kill me because I found out the truth. You even had grandfather locked up to silence him"
The room fell silent. The only sounds were the beats of the three women. Mia's eyes widened in shock, her mind reeling with the implications of Monica's words. Emily's face was twisted with anger and fear.
The battle line had been drawn, the war between Monica and her family had begun with Gael by her side. Monica was ready to take on her family and reclaim her rightful place in the family. But Emily and Mia would not go down without a fight and the stakes were higher than before.
Monica looked into Emily's eyes with her voice steady and firm. "I know everything, mother. I know what you did to my real mom, and I am going to make you pay."
Emily's smile was condensing. "You think you can just bring me down with your words, Monica" Monica's smile was bitter. "I know my words are not enough, that's why I am ready to do everything I can to take you down. Just watch your back, mother. I will always be behind you"
Mia turned to her mother with her voice trembling. "Mom, is it true Monica is dad's biological daughter?"
Emily's expression was dismissive. "Don't worry about that, Mia, what you need to worry about is how to make the gallery yours."
Monica's eyes flashed with anger, but she had to bide her time. She left the house, her mind racing with plans and strategies. She moved into the apartment room Gael had rented for her, her thoughts consumed by her next move.
As she sat on the bed, lost in thought, she had a knock on the door. Gael entered his eyes. Looking into hers." I will bring my nephew here tomorrow. She is someone I trust, and she will teach you everything you need to know and how to get close to my family."
Monica nodded, her mind racing with possibilities and then what Gael's smile was reassuring, "Then I will take you home as my fiancée. But don't worry Monica, once everything is over, we will get divorced, and you will be free to live your life as you wish".
Monica's eyes narrowed, He brought out a paper, and she signed it with her heart racing.
The paper was their marriage agreement. Monica knew she was taking a risk, but she needed Gael's help, and she was also ready to do whatever she could to get her grandfather out of the mental hospital.
Gael's eyes locked on hers. "Don't worry, Monica, we will get your grandfather out, but first we need confirmation that he's in his right state of mind", he said with his firm voice.
Monica's eyes filled with gratitude. She knew she had found an ally in Gael. Together they would take down Emily and Monica would get the justice she deserved.
